8_oz Military Work Shirt - Green

A homage to the service shirts worn by US Armed Forces during WW2, this lightweight yet tough shirt combines a vintage military silhouette with a hardwearing 8oz Japanese Oxford cloth. Woven with double warp and double weft yarns, the fabric displays a slightly more irregular, subtly slubby texture, with a little more heft compared to other plain weaves at the same weight. To complement the 1940s-style cut, we’ve used sulphur-dyed yarns, allowing the fabric to mellow and fade, developing with timeworn character as the shirt ages.

As a military cut, the fit is a little roomier and more relaxed compared to our traditional work shirt, with larger flap-down chest pockets and button fastenings throughout. Seen here in authentic army green, with tonal buttons and red internal bobbin thread for a splash of colour.
