Established in 2009, Andersen-Andersen is a family-owned Danish company specialising in high-quality unisex knitwear. Born of a desire to create the world’s best sailor-style sweaters, each garment is designed in Denmark and expertly knitted in Italy from 100% pure new wool sourced in Patagonia and Uruguay. The result is a range of classic heavyweight sweaters and cardigans that draw on Danish maritime tradition and are built to last a lifetime.

Two of the most well-known and loved styles from the brand, the Sailor series features a 7-gauge knit, a knitted neckline triangle for a better fit, and integrated thumb holes inspired by vintage Danish sailor knitwear.

Inspired by 1930s and 1940s military clothing, our heavy-duty Navy series was developed following the success of the Sailor line. This heavier line of knitwear features a symmetrical shape, thumb holes, and a signature triangle neck.

Thanks to the skill of their Italian knitters, who integrated the triangle directly into the neckline, we produced a crewneck with a fully knitted collar rather than one sewn on afterward. This innovation led to our third style: our iconic Navy Crewneck.
