Based on Wesco’s® Hendrik design, the “Guildsman” (formerly known as the “Alex”) is a custom collaborative design between Alex Padmore of Iron Heart International and Chris Warren of Wesco® Boots. Handmade in Oregon, USA, each boot is cut from hardwearing British tie domain leather, paired with a steel-reinforced Vibram sole for durability. A brogue-style toe cap adds a refined touch for more formal wear, while the dry leather can be polished to a high shine or left to age with a natural patina.

Leather Care

Domain Cowhide

- Cowhide is one of the most widely used leathers, offering a balance of durability and flexibility. It has a slightly looser grain than horsehide, giving it a softer hand and a bit more give, while still offering excellent wear resistance

- Over time, cowhide will develop character through creasing, subtle color changes, and patina — especially in full-grain and vegetable-tanned versions. It’s generally more forgiving than horsehide and less prone to cracking, though it can still dry out if neglected

- Conditioning helps maintain suppleness and prevent drying or stiffening. Apply a small amount of neutral leather conditioner when the leather starts to feel dry or loses its luster — usually every 6–12 months depending on use. Work the conditioner in with a soft cloth and buff off any excess to avoid buildup, which can dull the surface or attract dirt

- For cleaning, wipe with a dry or lightly dampened cloth to remove dust and grime. For more stubborn dirt, a small amount of mild soap can be used with water — just make sure to test on a hidden area first. Never soak the leather. If the leather gets wet, blot gently and allow it to dry naturally at room temperature, away from heat sources, then condition if needed to restore moisture
