New for FW26, this winter layering piece offers a unique interpretation of the “half-moon” hunting vests of the 1940s and ’50s, fitted with a wool lining for greater thermal properties. Made from a tough, shuttle-woven 12oz Japanese selvedge duck canvas, its design is a little more stripped back than our other work vests, yet still highly practical — featuring a three-button placket with oversized buttons, waist cinches to adjust fit, and deep half-moon pockets.

The wool we've used to line the interior is the same as found on our A2 deck jackets, specifically chosen by Haraki san for its unique characteristics. While the woollen yarns are dyed in Nagoya, the knit itself has been shuttle-woven in the textile capital of Japan, Osaka. The use of a traditional shuttle loom creates a much fluffier texture that improves heat retention, with the fabric brushed post-knit to achieve a hand feel akin to a vintage wool blanket.
