Our interpretation of the “Type II” jacket, inspired by the classic Levi's design from 1953. Slightly longer in the body and less boxy than the original Type II, this Iron Heart version is constructed from our 16oz slubby selvedge denim. This deep indigo selvedge denim has a really uneven hand on both the face and the reverse (think off-the-scale loom-chatter), but at the same time, it is incredibly soft and comfortable to wear. To create this overdyed version, the entire garment is steeped in black sulphur dye post-construction. This means that the indigo denim, stitching and hardware are all stained by the black dye, which will slowly mellow and fade, developing a unique patina through wear.

Fabric Focus

Sanforized, One-Washed & Overdyed

- Sanforization is a post-weave mechanical process which removes most potential shrinkage from a fabric before garment construction
- To further reduce the risk of shrinkage, we wash the completed garment in an aggressive industrial washing machine.

- Following this, a high-temperature overdyeing process removes any remaining potential shrinkage
- This garment may fit slightly smaller than its non-overdyed counterpart. Please refer to our measurement charts carefully
- No further shrinkage is expected if washed in accordance with our guidelines

Care Guidelines

- We recommend washing this garment at 30°C with a low (or no) spin cycle. Hang dry, do not tumble dry
