11_oz Piqué Modified Type III Jacket - Light Grey

Inspired by the classic Levi's design from 1962, our modified take on the “Type III” jacket is cut slightly longer in the body, with the addition of hand warmer pockets — the construction of which creates two internal storage pockets. This version is one of our more unique variations, made from 11oz Japanese piqué.

While most cotton piqués are woven with a uniform pattern of parallel ribs, this fabric displays a much more irregular, almost random weave. It was chosen not only for its intriguing three-dimensional appearance, but also for the breathability it offers, as the rough, textured reverse allows for less contact with the skin, resulting in a cooler-feeling fabric. Combined with its heat-reflecting light grey colourway, this allows us to create a heavier-weight Type III than our usual spring/summer offerings — one that remains comfortable through the warmer seasons.
