While most of our denim feature a traditional right-hand twill weave—characterised by a diagonal grain running from the top-right to the bottom-left of the fabric—our “lefty” denim is woven in the opposite direction under very high tension. However, unlike typical left-hand twill denim, which often appears lighter in colour, the tightly woven yarns of this fabric create a darker, more intense indigo hue. This may not be our heaviest denim, but the nature of the weave makes it one of the most robust. Requiring time and patience to break in, the high contrast fade potential on offer is well worth the effort.
