Our classic Type III jacket, modified with a slightly longer than traditional body and the addition of side handwarmer pockets. This version is made from our incredibly robust 19oz left hand twill denim and then steeped in black dye. The denim starts out as one of the toughest we make, with the overdying process further cranking up the volume — cotton armour.

19oz Left-Hand Twill Japanese Selvedge Denim - Overdyed Black

- 100% cotton
- Woven under high tension to create a stiffer fabric
- Indigo rope-dyed warp / white weft

- Left-hand twill weave

- Post-construction, this garment is overdyed using black direct dye

- This denim will fade with indigo-tinged hues through wear and washing

Fabric Focus

Unsanforized but Overdyed

- This denim has not been sanforized. Sanforization is a post-weave mechanical process that removes most potential shrinkage from a fabric before garment construction

- However, the high-temperature overdyeing process removes any remaining potential shrinkage
- This jacket will fit smaller than its shrink-to-fit, non-overdyed counterpart. Please refer to our measurement charts carefully
- No further shrinkage is expected if washed in accordance with our guidelines
- This denim has not undergone a post-weave skewing process and is therefore prone to twisting as the jackets ages (most noticeable along body and arm seams). If you prefer to avoid this characteristic, we recommend exploring our other denim options

Care Guidelines

- We recommend washing this garment at 30°C with a low (or no) spin cycle. Hang dry, do not tumble dry
