Our modern slim-tapered cut jeans, made from 16oz slubby selvedge denim. The most heavily textured denim in the Iron Heart lineup, our 16oz slubby selvedge is woven slowly and loosely (think off-the-scale loom-chatter!), resulting in a more irregular twill and an uneven fabric hand on both the face and reverse. Compared to other heavyweight weaves, this is a softer, more breathable denim which brims with distinctive character.

16oz Japanese Slubby Selvedge Denim

- 100% cotton
- Loosely woven to create a heavily textured, breathable denim
- Indigo rope-dyed warp / white organic cotton weft
- Right-hand twill weave
- This slub denim will fade with a distinctive grainy characteristic through wear and washing
- Please note that this denim is susceptible to skewing, meaning you may notice some leg or arm twist. If you prefer to avoid this characteristic, we recommend exploring our other denim options

Hardware & Construction

- Traditional 3-button fly
- Iron Heart branded tack button at waistband

- Works Inc branded pocket rivets

- Hidden rivets on rear pockets
- Poly/cotton stitching for increased strength

- Single and double needle chain stitch construction
- Belt loops anchored at three points and sewn into the waistband

- Heavy cotton pocket bags and lined rear pockets

Selvedge ID

- Sideseam, fly, and coin pocket selvedge ID

Leather Patch

- 1.5mm vegetable-tanned steerhide
- Natural finish
- Stitched on all sides
- Debossed Iron Heart graphic
- Please note: Continued washing (especially at higher temperatures) may cause shrinkage and deformities

Fabric Focus

Sanforized & One-Washed

- Sanforization is a post-weave mechanical process which removes most potential shrinkage from a fabric before garment construction
- To further reduce the risk of shrinkage, we wash the completed garment in an aggressive industrial washing machine. This process removes virtually all potential shrinkage.
- No further shrinkage is expected when washed according to our care guidelines

Stretch Details

- The waist will stretch out approximately 1" with wear. All other dimensions that are put under pressure will stretch proportionally to the waist


Care Guidelines

- We recommend washing this garment at 30°C with a low (or no) spin cycle. Hang dry, do not tumble dry
