13.5oz Denim Baker’s Pants - Indigo

Defined by distinctive rectangular pocket stitching, the “Baker” style draws inspiration from the original OG-107 fatigue pants worn by U.S. troops in the 1950s — a wider, more relaxed fit than many of our cuts.

While developing this 13.5oz denim, Shinichi Haraki found inspiration in his favourite pair of Levi’s 646 bell-bottom jeans from the mid-1970s. The warp yarn is rope-dyed indigo in the traditional manner, then sulphur-dyed with a grey dye to impart a darker hue — a technique commonly used by Levi’s at the time. The long slub, neppy warp yarn and natural slub weft create a heavily nepped finish on both the face and reverse of the fabric, resulting in a soft, flexible denim packed with vintage character.

In addition to the unique denim, other key features of these pants include flap-down rear pockets with secure button fastenings, a brass zipper fly, and rear waist cinches—allowing the fit to be adjusted without a belt.
