9_oz Selvedge Flannel Buffalo Check Western Shirt - Red

Offering a lighter-weight alternative to our signature Ultra Heavy Flannel (UHF) shirts, these 9oz selvedge unbrushed flannels provide classic Iron Heart styling in a cooler, more breathable option for the warmer months.

New for SS27, this is the first time our 9oz flannels are available in classic buffalo check, a staple pattern in the UHF lineup. The yarns of this fabric are dyed using a process we call “colour-true fade” dyeing. This is a reactive dyeing method that achieves a rich, saturated hue which — unlike conventional reactive dyeing — allows the fabric to mellow and fade over time. However, in contrast to made-to-fade sulphur-dyed fabrics, which often shift in tone as they age (for example, sulphur-dyed greens can develop a prominent yellow cast), this process preserves the original hue, ensuring an even fade that lightens in intensity without any unwanted colour drift.

Beyond the fabric, this model bears all the hallmarks of our western shirt cut — featuring traditional western-style yokes, snap fastenings, and finished with tonal stitching and internal yellow bobbin thread for a subtle splash of contrasting colour.
