Inspired by the classic Levi's design from the early 1900s, our take on the "Type I" jacket is cut slightly longer in the body, with a less boxy silhouette than the original while retaining traditional details such as a single chest pocket, knife pleats and a buckled rear cinch.
Soft, lightweight, and easy-wearing through the warmer seasons, this version is made from an intriguing 11oz denim woven with a blend of 61% cotton and 39% hemp. The addition of hemp brings many benefits to the fabric, increasing strength and breathability while offering natural antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties. To create the distinctive appearance of this denim, the warp yarns are first dyed with green sulphur dye before being rope-dyed in the traditional manner. The result is a subtly green-tinged indigo with a lighter hue and more textured appearance that perfectly complements the jacket's vintage aesthetic.
