Handmade in Japan to Shinichi Haraki’s design, this version of our modified Type III is produced by Kawaguchi-based leather specialist FourSpeed. Cut from 1mm horsehide suede, the leather provides a soft, hefty and rugged exterior, while a smooth cotton twill lining ensures comfort and ease of wear. As our modified Type III cut, this jacket fits a little longer in the body than the original Levi’s design, with features including twill-lined handwarmer pockets and internal “gun” pockets adding everyday practicality.

- Flap-down chest pockets

- Two external handwarmer pockets
- Two internal "gun" pockets with snap closures
- Dual hem cinches

Hardware & Construction

- Iron Heart branded tack button fastenings

- Poly/cotton stitching
- Single and double needle chainstitch construction
- Cotton twill lining
- When pressed, post-sewing, some of the thick parts of this jacket take on a slight sheen, this will disappear with wear

- Horsehide suede is sensitive to moisture and oils, meaning conditioning is rarely needed and should be avoided unless the suede feels extremely dry — in that case, use only products specifically designed for suede to avoid flattening or darkening the nap.
