The Project RE:LOVE Swatch Bag is created from new offcuts saved from our hemming process. Instead of discarding them, we stitch them into functional reversible patchwork totes that carry the DNA of Iron Heart’s toughest fabrics.

The bag shown is made from 21oz "Superblack" selvedge denim, with a lining reclaimed from a pre-worn 12oz ultra heavy flannel — the pockets of which form additional storage compartments.

Each bag is handmade in Gosport, England, using the same vintage machines we rely on daily: Union Special for chain stitching, Singer darner and flat stitcher for reinforcement, and a 5-thread overlocker set to Iron Heart Japan specs. Straps are triple-stitched and the opening is secured with heavy-duty Iron Heart copper snaps for strength and longevity.

- Patchwork tote bag, handmade on vintage Singer and Union Special machines
- Outer: Japanese selvedge denim patchwork panel construction
- 21oz "Superblack" selvedge denim
- Inner: Lined with 100% aspero cotton, 12oz purple check ultra heavy flannel - recycled from a pre-worn IHSH-260-PPL shirt
- The pockets of the donor shirt create additional internal storage compartments
- All denim is new and unworn, sourced from hemming offcuts
- Heavy-duty copper snap fastening opening
- Polycotton stitching
- Triple-stitched straps
- Reinforced seams for durability

Project RE:LOVE is our initiative to extend the life of unwanted or retired Iron Heart clothing. However, not all pre-worn items we receive are in good enough condition to be resold as RELOVED garments — but that doesn’t mean their journey ends there. In our commitment to sustainability and waste reduction, unsellable jeans that would otherwise end up in landfills are upcycled into a range of unique, handcrafted accessories.

- Not returnable if washed — washing is done at your own risk
- Expect panels to wear, fade, and soften in completely unique combinations
