Named after the medieval English village from which it originated, our 100% cotton Japanese Kersey is a deeply ridged twill weave fabric with a texture not dissimilar to corduroy. Traditional Kerseys are often woven from cotton or wool—ideally suited to workwear and military apparel due to their dense weave, warmth, and hard-wearing nature.

Weighing in at approximately 14oz, the most common Kersey in the Iron Heart lineup is a heavily textured weave, used to create a collection of shirts with real heft that are, at the same time, incredibly comfortable and breathable.
