1955S - 21oz Selvedge Denim "1955" Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
For you Canadians out there TJ at @TheShopVancouver will be stocking these too.
-
A very satisfying purchase.
-
Yes @trivsdotcom, the weight of the world has been lifted. very stoked! Thank you IH for doing this run
-
These are going quickly! And just when I thought I was done buying jeans...
-
I've been going back to the product page and watching the numbers decrease throughout the day, looks like they're doing awesome! Hopefully this positive response grants the 1955 a seat at the table more often/consistently going forward!

I was musing what denims we could more 1955's with last night

Dangnabbit. Missed my size as I was waiting for payday to happen overnight…
@Giles 16oz slubby would be a good shout.

Man I’m tempted by these but … I’m sort of tall and thin (6’2”-175) and I think the rise on these might be a little too high. I started with 666 in IH and love that fit (this coming from cheaper Diesel type jeans with a low rise).
I finally decided at my age (56) I’d try a more relaxed fit, so I bought a pair of 21oz 634’s. A year later, I’ve got 4 more pairs in a variety of demin lol.
Just not sure I’m ready to try these yet. Anyone with a relatively thin tall frame have any advice on how they wear?
-
I hope the OD version makes a comeback now that this is selling so fast.
-
The return of the OD or the debut(?) of the SBG would be so epic.
Either way, stoked these came back in any capacity. Skateboarders of the world thank you for catering to their insane legs.
-
Considering how quick these bad boys are selling out I’m really hoping for some fit pics here soon or some comparisons to other cuts

Hi @Brandrea - I’m 6’ 1” and 180 lbs. My inside leg is relatively short for my height at 33”, so I find the high rise kind of makes my legs look more in proportion! I also have the 888’s, and the 1955’s are definitely a baggier, more relaxed, retro fit with plenty of room around the knees. The rise is high - I’m wearing 1955 now and the waistband comes right up to my belly button. The high rise also avoids a gap on the back when I sit down which works for me. Just my opinion, but I’d say the rise is the defining feature which may or may not be to your preference.
Hope that’s helpful - Bill

Return of the 1955 UHR would be great

@Bill-C Thanks a lot Bill, really appreciate this.
I have yet another pair of 634 incoming as we speak … I think I’ll sit this one out.

@EdH yeah Theshopvancouver has them and they are by far my favorite pair of Iron Heart.
-

@EdH tempted by this? I certainly am - didn’t know these existed and the thought of adding both a new cut and new denim to my wardrobe is making me seriously dig this. Not sure if you’re UK but it’s £81 for shipping to UK. My only concern is whether they have a thigh measurement more towards the 14” mark. To be continued….
