Fantastic first peek! Congrats on the new digs too. Looks like a lovely home.
On a side note, I’ve been trapped in the house all week taking a course for work and been staring at the computer all day. A bit of a taste of the “work from home” life that I’m not very accustomed too. Must say I get rather stir crazy. I do love that coffee bit though.

@jerkules Yes dude, nice! Love the room of boxes. 120 looks ace.
-
Great start.
-
@jordanscollected thanks man! The bathroom is pretty pleasant and sees lots of “action” with all the coffee being drunk 🥳
-
@jerkules Thank you for a wonderful introduction to your life - your writing is fantastic!! Congratulations on such a smashing home! It looks Wabashilicious!! Good luck with the unboxing!! Btw what’s your favorite coffee?

@Oaktavia I’ll be sure to keep it coming! Your name is Steve, right? If so, you have both my dad’s name and my name lol. How are you finding 37 years of life? I’ve found it pretty good so far!
Yep Steve it is. Some call me Stevie, Steven, SteveO (my last name starts with O). Oddly my dad's name is David too. So I'm Steve Dave lol. I love 37 life couldn't be better. Especially since I quit drinking and drugging. Glad you find it good as well.

@Mizmazzle yeah man it’s funny what you get used to. Before Covid I was in the office 5 days a week, 1.5 hour commute each way. I’m lucky that my works very hybrid, I can pretty much chose when to go in so if I’m feeling cabin feverish I head on in.
-
@Mister_Brue that room of boxes is doing my head in. I think it’s gonna stay like that for the foreseeable
-
@denim-dawg thanks man, you’re too kind! I’m far from being a connoisseur with coffee, but I enjoy anything I buy from Dark Arts in Hackney
-
@jerkules You’re a True Gent ️️ Sounds like class a coffee - can’t wait to try next time I’m on your island

A good thing I find about the kids being off school is that it forces you to be a tourist in your own city. Yesterday we went to watch “Rough Magic” at Shakespeare’s Globe theatre on the Thames South Bank.
Our train terminates on the doorstep of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge - two landmarks that I’ve walked past countless times that I’ve stopped paying attention. The enthusiasm and wonder of little kids is good for lifting your eyes up and noticing things that you otherwise miss every day.
“Rough Magic” was an imagining of what happens to the Macbeth witches after the story ends. The premise is that the infamous prophecy made by the witches in Macbeth was actually an error from a junior witch. As a result, the human world has realised they can influence their fates more than they should… It was genuinely a great play that we all enjoyed - a small cast of 4 kept the energy up, lots of on stage magic worked into the plot. It was also bloody hilarious.
Making use of our proximity to the Tate Modern, we went to get involved in Oscar Murillo’s interactive “The Flooded Garden”. Viewers are asked to participate in the artwork - we were all giving a brush and left to add whatever we wanted. The effect is pretty cool when you stand back, and the size of the work is enormous, taking up almost half of the massive turbine hall. Kids loved it.
Then, over to Borough Market for food. It was so hot and busy that I couldn’t be arsed spending too long deciding what to eat. Went straight to my usual Brindisa for a chorizo roll. Lush!
