the wear is a lot more visible in daylight, even if just concentrated to the edges (or where i used to keep my ipod at my old job). elbows seem to be getting shredded though!

RE: IHSH-17 Heavy Chambray Quilted Western Shirts
@TrickHell:
Every time I remember that these exist and that I don't own one, I shed a single man tear, like an Indian chief who just saw littering.
@TrickHell I have one that is barely worn, and has been sitting in my closet for almost five years. Black sz Large. I can rustle up some pics if you're interested!

^^ that's looking excellent. Mine remains unwashed and unworn-looking after 5 years as I'm worried it'll shrink out of its perfect size

RE: Music
pertinent to hm-2 chat
full disclosure: i love hm-2s. sound sick on bass (can get a massive bass boost out of them w/o the need to blend in clean signal for low end) and ripper on guitar. plus they don't have to be used for woodchipperxcore tones, ie. setting the distortion just above nothing and using it as a killer boost a la justin broadrick. but it's fucking fun as to dime the lot and grind

RE: Hard Drinkers, Lets Drink Hard (Spirits, Liquors and Cocktails)
Picked up a bottle of Lagavulin 16 yesterday. It's big, smoky, and smooth. The smoke and iodine will take a bit of getting used to, but I can absolutely see this stuff growing on me. I tried a Bowmore a couple years ago and it tasted like Band-aids, so I've been a little nervous about Islay whisky ever since.
laga 16 is the benchmark for me. absolute cracker of a dram. enjoy!

RE: Random Rants
I've just been looking at the rental application form for one of the Australian letting agents. The information it asks for includes:
-
Driving licence details
-
The car you own
-
Passport details
-
Current and previous employment details
-
Current and previous landlord, and whether your deposit / bond was refunded
-
A business reference
-
A personal reference
-
A reference from a relative
I'm wanting to rent a place, not buy it. I didn't expect some sort of Spanish Inquisition!
it's pretty horrible. the last 3 places i've stayed in have been bro-deals - living with friends or partners. if i'm forced to get a place on my own in the future it'll be a real struggle w/o real landlord references

RE: Cityscapes of the Forum
I think this qualifies - shot i took of the perth skyline from a construction site in 2007, sitting on a split LP i played on from the same year. I stuck a couple of random prints into each record sleeve before we sold them. Not exactly the best photo, but it helped a little bit with my fear of heights
