Just got the last medium from the outlet, fresh out the box (thanks IH crew for the great service!), and I'm in love!

RE: IH-526-ODG "Party Jacket Tour"
Visited my parents in their beautiful apartment, this afternoon, after work.
Then it was home to walk the dogs. Our neighborhood is an historic part of town, with lots of beautiful old houses, and a few amazing oak trees.
Pretty run-of-the-mill day.
The party jacket has been partying by itself in the back of the car, in this heat. Pretty soon I suppose I should put my mark on it to be sent on its way!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm a lurker around these parts, but I've been following this thread- great fun, and can't believe I was in Asheville at the same time as the Party Jacket! Portland, OR now, but lived for many years in Asheville, and back first half of August for a visit. Wow, in many ways, town has changed, but there's much still the same… And I'd recognize Montford anywhere...

RE: IH-526L - 19oz Unsanforised Left Hand Twill Trucker. The Lefty Trucker
No short cuts. Soaking will make it stiffer. But at some point, if you wash this thing, it'll likely shrink….
Ok message received- no free lunch… But are you further saying that I should size up now and just live with too-long sleeves? Will I get any stretch with wear, or just inevitable eventual shrink from here?

RE: IH-526L - 19oz Unsanforised Left Hand Twill Trucker. The Lefty Trucker
Hi All, I've got a question on living with this 19oz. LHT, I'm sure this is common knowledge to most here, and I actually can't seem to find much that specifically answers this for me (though I'm sure I overlooked it somewhere…):
My large 526L is new and stiff(!), and I'd like to soften it up without any additional shrinkage. I know you'll all advise just wearing the hell out of it, but I'd like to cheat and make it a little more livable in the short term. I'm on the fence about it being too small, but the sleeves fit well and I'm afraid going up to an XL will make them too long. All other dimensions will be fine if no more shrinkage.
Should I be cold soaking it? If so, how long? Will this get me there or should I just suck it up and don the armor?

RE: Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
Then you would need a line of stitching that would show on the face of the jacket….If it's a big issue for you personally, you could pop in a few blind stitches....
No, Giles, I want you to pop in a few blind stitches…
Kidding. Thanks, Giles, I hadn't considered the show on the A side... Is this the reason why this isn't done?

RE: Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
New to this thread, haven't read all 500+ pages, and I'll bet this has been mentioned prior, but I'll chime in that I'd love for jacket inner pockets to be sewn completely shut, rather than having that small opening at the bottom…
Here's my Type III below a jacket (Kuhl) that's stitched up tight.
(I'd love to know if this has been suggested before, thx.)
