I should elaborate a little. This is from last night when Norwegians celebrate. It is a relatively formal gig with some strict traditions. Dinner on the table at 5pm, suit and tie for the men, presents afterwards.

Today is much more like Boxing Day in the UK.

Normally, there would be a few more of us around the table on Christmas Day.  The 16lb turkey is in the freezer, and we did a 3lb chicken…..

I made a beef wellington, roast potatoes, parsnip puree and black cale for my American family tonight
