@Tago-Mago Probably you've seen this.

Love that project
-
@mclaincausey like with most of these types of mashups (looking at you Jaydiohead and Grey Album) some songs work better than others but hats off to the brain behind this

This one is good and there was a Grateful Dead x Wu Tang project that had some good stuff.

Did y’all ever listen to Radiodread and Dub Side of the Moon etc?

@popvulture dub side of the moon sounds familiar.
For unspecified reasons my memory is slightly fuzzy from the era in my life when i listened to it......

Not a mashup, but the reggae ref above reminded me of it. It’s a British band from prob around rhe late aughts that did reggae cover versions of full albums — OK Computer and Dark Side were the ones I heard. I popped them on recently and they’re (imo) still really good.

All this mashup talk made me think of these mashups that this jamband Umphrey’s McGee does. They’re not really my favorite but they excel at these.

Man this is one of my favorite drummers going right now. He has a fantastic new album out. Check him out @Jett129
Playing with Pino Palladino’s son, also a bassist.
-
@mclaincausey Thank you,will definitely check it out!
-
@mclaincausey Really great and makes it look so effortless,and no matter what he was doing he never looses the groove,and he does some really sick shit,around the 4 minute mark. Thanks again.

Man @mclaincausey I love his stuff! This is the video that got me into him, by way of Alfa Mist:

Lotta really cool new jazz coming out of the UK from some young players. Moses Boyd is another guy I like a lot — drummer/bandleader, also does some cool synth stuff. Love this song — when the guitarist kicks the octave on in his solo, it makes me wanna yell
