I think it takes a shitload of talent to play most forms of metal, even if I don't listen to it much these days.
Wondering if you Phish heads think it's OK that their Halloween "cover costume" was a "Phish album from the future." I find that exceedingly lame and lazy.

Coming from a guy who wasn't there but saw it from the comfort of my couch.
At first, I was like WTF! This is fucking lame as shit. Then as it unfolded and I opened up my mind a bit I was like this is fucking beautiful. One thing you gotta give the Phish is for better or worse they are not afraid to take risks. I think it screams volumes about what is going on with the band right now that they did something so ballsy and against tradition. I might have a different feeling if I had traveled and then been let down because they didn't cover House's of the Holy or whatever, but probably not. I've now listened to the set three times and it keeps getting better. The good is really good, and considering it's basically embryonic at this point leaves me pretty excited to see it evolve. Phish has always and clearly always will do what THEY want to do, not what WE want them to do. Why people hate, I'll never understand. I'm sure whatever your band played in front of a sold out house on Halloween was much more ambitious and creative.
