Personally, I have a "stable of denim." Right now, I have a 25oz for those days where it might be cold or I'm doing heavy work. (I.E. I don't wear them often :D) I have a "lightweight" pair for everyday use. Those are comfortable and are my "every day" jeans. They are also the only non-Iron Heart pair I'm wearing, too. It's a brand called Ooe Yofukuten. Side note, it's the only brand I'd recommend other than IH. I also have a pair of ducks and an overdyed pair for those days where I need/want black jeans. Whenever a pair gets "worn out," I will take them out of the rotation and wear them more sparingly. Hope that answers your question.

Notable fades takes years, unless you take shortcuts like scrubbing them with sand or a heavy brush with soap, or using a spray bottle to make the creases sharper, etc…Slow and steady wins every time

@adam313:
Flexibility is key. For instance, this is the last month of the DWC2, so I am going to go all day everyday until Nov. 1, with a wash every week.
When new, I like to dedicate some time to properly set the creases to fit my body. I feel a concentrated attention span is necessary to get the creases to figure out where they need to be.
During adolescence, I can rotate without consequence and sometimes pairs sit for months before I wear them again. There is no consequence in terms of evolution, because once the creases are set, they can pick up where they left off whenever you get back to them, provided care is taken in storing them.
So it goes both ways, sometimes all day everyday, sometimes not. Always fresh…
This makes sense, thank you for your answer compadre.

That's a nice combo of different looks and fabrics for different occasions. Sounds like the way it should be. Totally answers my question, thanks.

I rotate 2 pairs of jeans but will wear one pair more frequently than the other. If I wore more than that it would take forever to achieve any evo. Once the wear patterns start to appear I know it’s time to switch jeans. The right front pocket of all my jeans become frayed because I’m always taking my keys out or putting them in

I swear I saw a thread started for a IHJ-54 Black, but no matter how I search, nothing pops up.
Was I dreaming or is this really happening? @Alex ?

Thanks, this was the answer I was looking for. I'm going to switch to wearing my XHSIB every other weekday (E2R and ST-121X in between), and my N&F 32oz weekend and day off. Keep them neck and neck.

I've been wearing a pair of N&F indigo denim for the better part of the last 3-4 yrs. They're nicely faded and without holes surprisingly. The other pair I'll throw on is my 3sixteen SL-120X shadow selvedge. It's still pretty dark but the electric blue fades are starting to show. I've got other unworn denim in my closet but for now they're sitting on ice until I can get off my butt and get them hemmed. I'm itching to wear my IH Pronto denim now that it's getting colder out

I feel like I sound like a broken record waving the 3sixteen flag but next to IH they have the best fabrics/cuts for jeans and chinos IMO. They don't have nearly as much variety and nothing is too crazy or extreme but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their 14.5 oz Indigo flagship, shadow selvedge, double black, and Kibata fabrics to anyone. All of them are great fabrics and the shadow and double black fabrics come in two different weight options and the Kibata comes in an indigo and shadow version. Shadow is their Indigo/Black fabric for those that don't know.
As for rotating jeans I'll usually have 2-3 summer jeans ("lightweight") and 2-3 winter jeans (heavyweight) and rotate them as I feel. Just wearing whatever I'm in the mood for on that particular day.

I have the 17oz shadow selvedge with some electric blues showing through. It is an exciting fabric when it shows it's true colors.

I've seen some fade pics of the shadow selvedge after a year or so and you're right…it is an exciting fabric. Amazing fade potential.

My favorite 3sixteen items are their denim and knits. Think I’ll eventually buy a white and indigo henley.

Are you a chino guy? Their chino's are great too. Very nice selvedge fabrics and the cut is just perfect, at least for my body anyways.

Not really a chino guy but if I were to buy some it would be from 3sixteen.

Considering a little GoodArt pimping on one of my upcoming shirt purchases. What are the standard cateye and western snap sizes? Mostly concerned about the cateye sizing as I don't want the GA buttons to look huge compared to the standards and potentially not fit through the buttonhole.

I send Josh some of our Cats Eye Buttons so he had that as a reference when he designed and sized the GA Cats Eye Button. Ditto the small snaps…
If you are talking about the heavy-duty snaps I can't help I am afraid as I am out of the country, but I am sure someone else will chime in...
