@simon626:
i prefer my girls in spring dresses with little to no under garments. Tooo awesome when your girlfriend goes on a date with you and whispers that to you hahaha
I honestly hate denim on a girl if i'm trying to get her out of it. Denim blocks out so much sensitivity, they really can't feel you through their jeans/ jean shorts. I much rather prefer 100% cotton if anything on a girl.
Simon, at that point you are most definitely on the right track. Keep up the good work!

Yes. That is correct.

I meant cotton as in regular cotton fabric, that has not been weaved into hard impenetrable denim haha.
C'mon! You can't penetrate 21oz IH denim? That's so lame. Shame on you!
Just pulling your leg, my friend!

and have you seen a woman in slim raw denim and heels?????This woman does wears raw denim and heels ! PS. If it matters, I prefer button fly – button-fly just seems more rugged to me, and Iron Heart is all about rugged.

@shubharamani:
On SuFu, I have 0 reputation power. But yet, I have 3634 points total. Various people have complimented my (few) pics on "Raw for Women", "Samurai" and "WAYWT (Denim)". So – how do I get power ? Or does it fucking matter ?
I can give you + rep. Just gimme your nick Shubz…

oops… look down

Ahhh..I'm learning. Seul, I'm shubharamani on SuFu. Rep my ass if you want. I don't really give a shit about it though – give rep to Beats so she can get free room & board when she comes to SF this May (Kiya has paid for a place in The Mission, and is giving free bunk to SuFu members with the highest rep). I've been meaning to give Beats rep too...will do so now !

Why do you (the reader whom this applies to) prefer zippers? what makes them the cats meow and bees knees? please let me know, this is of great interest to me…
I just don't see the point of buttons anymore…zippers are more convenient...I don't care much either way, but given the choice...there is no advantage to buttons...

IMO
1. zippers look cheap
2. they can break
3. body parts can get…..hung up
4. getting caught with your fly down sucks too.
Plus, you ask the average person "what's the first brand and fit of jean you can think of?" 9 out of 10 people I bet will say Levi 501 and what do the 501's have.....button fly. They're classic, original, and what all jeans should have imho of course. -
I vote dchill for president of button fly awesomeness club
-
Dchill, I totally respect your opinion but I don't see how it makes a difference in remembering to close your fly whether you have zipper or buttons. One could even make an argument that since people are lazy (I'm the king of lazy, unfortunately) they might rather "forget" to button up than to zip up.
The reason 501s have buttons is that, if I'm not mistaken, zippers didn't exist back then. I think they only started to be really common after WWII.
As I said, I've got no real preference and my jeans are split 50/50. But if somebody asked me to decide for all eternity between buttons and zip, I'd go with the zip.
I also think the Talon zips used in IH jeans are classy in their own right. It's what all the good vintage jeans used.

First, I think if you're a big enough idiot to get your junk hung up in your zipper, its for the best that you just lose that body part altogether and never reproduce. Seriously, if that happens, just go ahead and get yourself out of the gene pool
Second, I've had the stiffness of the denim unbutton a fly before while squatting or whatever
Third, the historical correctness of the button fly means little to me since if I were a real stickler for details, I would go for a denim weight that's about ten ounces lighter. That's what the 501s that originally had the button fly had in denim weight
For me, its all about personal preference. No need to rationalize Coke vs Pepsi

Wow! That's even more radical than what I said about better not driving a car or handling a knife.
I once read a forum member signature and it said something to the likes of: "America could easily get rid of its problem by just taking the warning stickers off the products. " Very mean.
Imagine a warning sticker on every pair of pants with a zipper. Warning: Zipping up your genitals can create intense pain and bleeding as well as emotional trauma! LOL!
