IH-888S-142 - 14oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo

I'd like a pair of these too, but I'm tapped out at the moment after the 8880XHSib.
These seem to be moving fast, and I'm surprised there isn't more discussion of them from the folks who have copped them.
How much does this 14oz V2 denim shrink when initially washed, as compared to XHS?

No, but the double twisted weft make it a little softer
@Giles can you expand on what double twisted weft is, and why it's significant? Thanks. mpp
This is @Giles on another thread from a week or so ago
Our double twisted yarn denims are stronger than the same weight denim constructed from a single weft, this is because the twisted weft makes the denim more supple, so there is less stress in the folds, whiskers, combs etc.
Of course, I am biased, but our 14oz denim is one of the most (if not the most) durable "lighter" weight denim I have ever worn. I am extremely tough on jeans and I wore my 14oz 666 almost every day for a year, I have retired them now, but they still have heaps of life left.
If you think of the weft as the pillow and the warp as the pillow case then taking two weft threads, twisting them together and using that instead of one is like having twice the down in your pillow. It makes the denim thicker and softer. A terrible allegory really but you get the idea.

I saw that post f/ G, and I was confused, and why I asked my question. I didn't understand if "double twisted" meant two weft threads twisted together, or the weft threads are twisted double the amount of "normal". Thanks Reuben

Pretty sure it's this one, but that's about the extent of my knowledge on the subject.

Great fit!

@CMastri - great fit, and great tee too! (my personal all time favorite band of all time)
Great to see some updates on this model. I'm seriously considering it for my warmer weather pair. I'm starting to concede that the 888 might just be the better cut for me…
@Giles and/or @Alex and/or IHUK crew - how much shrink is there in this denim? Description says one-washed, so I expect little to no significant shrinkage? Thanks

No pics but just wanted to weigh in with my thoughts on these. I picked up a pair during a recent visit to London (Rivet & Hide) and I am really happy with them. I have a pair of IH-1955S and love them but there’s just a little too much volume below the knee to wear them with anything but boots. The 888S fits perfectly, a little less rise and a little more taper but still plenty of room in the seat and thighs. Also loving the 14oz denim, it’s a nice change from the heavier stuff. My best fitting pair of jeans yet. Oh and R&H was awesome, they are good people.

Got these in time for Florida and they are great.

Picked a pair of these up today at Rivet and Hide…size 36. With a bit of stretch in the waist With wear they will fit perfectly
