Great fit @Chad!
Seriously, these are such a damn good fit/cut.

@celik Thanks! Size 30. Let me stress that I really struggle to find a good fitting pair of jeans. I'm about 5'6" (167cm) with bigger thighs for my size, so usually a pair that fits in the thighs will fit too large in the waist unless they are a relaxed tapered cut. I generally won't purchase a pair of jeans without at least a 12" thigh, but I rolled the dice with these and they worked out great. The waist is nice and snug and will be perfect when they stretch a little.
@manufc10 Thanks!

I'm a touch confused by some of the discussion around thigh measurements and style. The original plan for these was based on the 634, but with a higher rise and taper. That is to say a tapered regular cut. That is what this is. It is in no way a slim cut.
The published target measurements were originally a bit bigger in the thigh, admittedly, but the end product is only marginally smaller than those and the thigh on the 888S is on a par with the thigh on the 634S. Personally I wouldn't want anything with a larger thigh than the 634 so I'm happy. If future iterations come up larger then that's ok with me too as I can definitely do a size down in these if I need to.
Either way the thigh isn't slim, but if any of you are put off by the measurements get in touch with the crew, There tends to be some variation and they might find one that works for you.
The thigh isn't slim, but it isn't exactly roomy. As it has been mentioned, the people who don't need higher back rise/larger top block/larger thighs have access to multitudes more denim models and designs than the people who do. We aren't angry at anyone at the result of the dimensions being smaller, we're just disappointed after getting super excited about the target measurements. The 634 doesn't necessarily have a roomy thigh, either. That characteristic belongs to the 1955s, which aside from a slightly-too-high front rise and maybe a smidge too big leg opening, has great measurements for the big bottom crew.

Damn, I'm glad no one's angry! That would be weird
It's all down to perception I guess, but I'm certainly amongst those with a big, meaty butt and thighs and these are roomy af. I can do high kicks in them and all (If I wanted to). ???
Either way there's always variations in measurements between iterations. The thigh on W36 666's can go from 12.4" -13" and on 634's from 13.1" - 13.6" so everyone should be able to pick up something that works for them with time.

In general the avg. thigh size for a 634 in a 36 waist is 13.8 (at least for the XHS). You'll be hard pressed to find a 13.1.

Initially, just badminton! Legs were huge before ever lifting a weight. Then I got into weightlifting, and had a 34" waist with 30" thighs. This was however impractical and I was stuck wearing super baggy 38" crap with a belt. The last two years I've been perpetually injured, and I gained some fat and lost some muscle. Legs vary with weight, which fluctuates. Currently legs are 28", waist 35.5". 27.5/35 is where I'll try to stay indefinitely (probably ;))

634+bb+1955=888s. Glad I went with my 634 size, probably could of sized down because there was no IH gauntlet of pain breaking these in like the 634s. Just a tab tight in the waist and thigh but after a day completely broken in. It was kinda hard to get the legs over my Wesco engineers which makes them easy to stack. Hope these stick around because I think I found my go to jeans.

Hope I don't get in trouble for this. Good for playing "Pocket Pool"
Stop or you'll go blind!
Also, it's important to coordinate w your furniture.

I guess it comes down to people's opinions of what constitutes a big, meaty butt and thighs. When I was properly training I was far bigger in that region, and even now I don't fit these. Imagine if I slimmed my tummy back down to 34" again ???
Feel sympathy for my best mate, and former england badminton player, who had thighs only an inch smaller than his waist.
