PIH10ANS - 22oz Pronto Collaboration Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
Ah, thanks. Must have missed the chart first time through. Looks like a fair bit of shrink for these.
-
Beautiful denim. Pretty much spot on size even after a cold soak.
Can stand on their own

I now really wished they would have done the 25oz double indigo in this cut…..
None the less, I did pre and post soak measurements. I let hang dry, on a 70 degree windy day. Cool/Slightly Cold Soak for 30 minutes
One or two in fraction
Pre Soak-
Waist- 35.5 (I didn't stretch and lay edges flush, I simply flattened and measured)
Front Rise- 11.75
Back Rise- 16
Thigh- 13.75
Knee(13")- 9.75
Hem- 9 1/8
Inseam- 36.5Post Soak
Waist- 35
Front Rise- 11.5
Back Rise- 15.75
Thigh- 13.5
Knee(13")- 9.5
Hem- 9
Inseam- 36.5 (this one surprised me)The only spots I really wanted shrinkage was hem and inseam, both barely shrank at all. Most likely due to cooler soak and no real heat applied. Surprised the front and back rise shrunk more than the inseam. Probably miss measured a little....oh well.
I might do a warm/hot soak relatively soon and let air dry again. The indigo does come off decently easy, so fades shouldn't take forever.
I will add, these aren't quite as soft as the 21 like I was told, but this is still a soft, beautiful and insanely smooth weft denim! I don't know why I notice the weft against my skin so much...but it is excellent.
Don't miss out on this denim!

Sorry Alex, I'll fix my post. Read it wrong. I want to get just an inch out of inseam, might just hot soak from knee or thigh down, get the hem slightly smaller too.
-
I didnt miss breaking in a new pair of heavy denim waist….
-
Is this first iron heart brown weft denim? Curious if there are any example of evo on brown weft

First one, I am afriad @Mustafa911

Looks damn good tho. Admittedly.
-
So I hot soaked these for about 45min in the tub, air dried and I got the shrinkage I wanted. I soaked from just below upper thighs.
I didn't get knee measurement but inseam is now 35 3/4" and hem is 8 15/16". Very happy now

There was a spot or two that had extra wear from just one day wear and the indigo against the beige was REALLY nice. It will add a warm tone to the jeans compared to white. Blue against white, cold to the eyes, blue against beige, much warmer so while the contrast of fades might not be as extreme, the saturation should be very pleasing with the color range. First pair of beige wefts for me.
-
While the inseam is shorter now, I still have to cuff so I don't get too many rolls. I know cuffing wears faster on the weft and little blow outs come quicker…might have to get them hemmed, hopefully I can get the teal chainstitch to match, cuz the teal and beige are meant for each other.
-
I decided to do one more hot as I can soak to these before maybe sending them to get hemmed, maybe tapered by .25" as well. If Giles got 1.5" shrink in inseam, I'd like to see 35" inseam. I don't want anything else besides inseam and hem shrunk as much as possible, so wearing them wet is what I'll do to get thigh and knee stretched back out .
Love this denim though!

@Jordonf9 this denim looks amazing. I really fancy the slim tapered version but between these, and the two 888's coming I just don't know where to start. Look forward to seeing some pics. Great purchase
EDIT: Oops… just looked further up the thread. They are a lovely colour and that fit pre-soak looks real nice.
-
Thanks. Yea, you thin twigs who can wear slim pants….I got somewhat beefy thighs, I require 13.5" thigh at least to be happy. 8.5-8.75 hem is my magical number for what I wear.
I wear a lot of 34-34.5 inseam perfectly, love to get these to shrink 3/4" more like I should be able to , but don't want those tight thighs or waist. I know they will wear back out, but right now in summer heat...SUCKS
I am so happy the 888 cut is finally coming out, perfect cut for me. I won't be doing the UHR as I have a pair of 21/23oz 10th anniversary that I rarely wear as it is. Hopefully some ducks, OD and SBG come to the cut

@Jett129 I have work them for at least 5 days or so and slept in them. Cool soak and hot soak. I would say they are just a tad less comfy then the original 21, so really nice! I like how the warp(I believe that's the name, or face of) is rougher than the 21 by a bit and just as soft with the beige weft. They really nailed this denim! Slightly less breathable as the 21 of course
-
@Jordonf9 I am a 25oz guy (from your previous posts, I believe you are too), how are these compared to 25oz in terms of weight and thickness.
I don't mind 21oz, but I personally don't care for the softness and breathability…I prefer the heaviness and ruggedness of the 25oz. I am hoping these may be similar.
-
@Jordonf9 I took naps in mine they were so comfortable. In theory they should feel heavier and be slightly less breathable than the 21OZ,but I'm not finding that to be the case. Not sure if it's a function of the fact that they're a bit roomier. Maybe my imagination. I machine washed and dried mine right out of the bag, then wore them for 12 days straight. Going to wear them tomorrow when riding. Have you worn yours on the bike? On another note,my friend flew to NC and backed out of the Indian deal as he,and the dealer could not get the bike into neutral after riding it. You ever have that problem?
-
@Dstauffer I have the 25OZ 777S as well, and these are nothing like them.Way softer and more breathable. No problem wearing them in 80 degree temps in NYC,where as I'd be sweating like a pig in the 25XHS. Also much easier to break in.
