And one more. I know some frown on matching double denim, but I love it. Blame the rock n roll.
Perfect

Hi @Giles! Still looking like March/April for these lefty truckers? Happy new year!
-
I'm on the lookout for a denim jacket and I have no idea about the different models (Type I or Type III or whatever), but from looking at the photos, I could see that this jacket is a bit longer and does not sit up above the waist and this is something that I'm considering to buy.
I measured one of my leather jackets (as recommended by Iron Heart to measure one of my existing jackets) and here are the dimensions and a comparison against the Iron Heart size small and medium (I'm 5.11 and weigh 64 kgs, skinny).
I'm not bothered about the sleeves, but the rest of the measurements should fit me and now I'm confused between small and medium!
| Size (inches) | My Measurements | Size Small | Size Medium |
| Shoulder | 19 | 17.4 | 18.3 |
| Length | 24 | 25.3 | 25.9 |
| Chest (P2P) | 20 | 20.4 | 21.0 |
| Waist | 18 | 18.4 | 19.1 |
| Opening | 18 | 19.1 | 20.0 |My questions now:
1. So with this dimensions, what size should I go for? If I take small, would it be a problem when wearing some thick inner layer?
2. Will this jacket shrink after wash or soak?
3. Will this jacket keep me warm during winter months? I will wear it with a sweater underneath. Would this keep me warm from the winter months where the temperature goes down between 3 and 12 degrees?
4. Can alterations be done say after I wear them for some days and would like to do some minor alterations. Can this be done?

- Personally I would go M
- From the web page: "Unsanforized but one-washed, there could be 1/2" shrinkage left in it though, so please size up if between sizes"
- It's windproof and thick, but it is only cotton. I'd have thought it would be OK, but people's propensity to feel cold varies from person to person.
- With difficulty, the construction is complex and the fabric is brutal to sew.
-
Snapped some quick morning bathroom fit pics - went with a small, I'm 5' 8" and 137lbs - not tall by any means - I like the sleeve and body length! This is only my second time wearing it. Love this jacket!
This thing is amazing - I'll get some better pictures in daylight soon.
Could you please let me know what size did you get? Is this a Small or Medium? I'm more or less in the same dimensions as you (height and weight) and I could not decide between a Small and Medium.

I will consider this. Another question that popped up.
Will this jacket become supple and soft after a couple of months of wear?
-
No, it'll take a lot longer than that…
Never mind even if it takes years! I'm convinced that this will be the one Jacket for me for years to come. Now the net question. When will this be restocked and how is the shipping working? I live in Western Europe!

Restock - Likely April

You may want to do this to get an email when we do want to restock:
-
I have registered my E-Mail to get notified when it is available. Why is it that I cannot pre-order it? Isn't it easier for you to match your inventory and production with pre-orders? You would exactly know how much to produce with pre-orders. Isn't this possible?
-
@jothishan:
Isn't this possible?
Not easily or we would do it. Sizing often varies between production runs so we may end up with a complete mismatch of orders and what we have made.

Here are some images of me trying out size medium. I guess I need size small! What do you think?
-
Seeing the front would be helpful, but yes it does look a little large from the back.
Was in a hurry so did not manage to get front shots! Sorry about that, but at the shop I was told that it is indeed a little big bigger for my body and a small would definitely be snug!
