Guitars anyone???

@AdamJ how is the Japanese Fender hunt going?
-
@chiverus it's on hold temporarily. @Freeman and I were looking at Gas Station Guitars the other day, a store the specialises in Japanese Fenders, has so many amazing choices.
Worth mentioning, @Freeman is not in the office today because he is at Fender HQ. I'll let him explain more about that!

@chiverus thank you! Yeah, it sounds great and it is simply beautiful
-
@chiverus thank you, it's 47yo, it's a real beast with a hell of a sustain
-
Of course it’s 47 @gouki74 my maths skills need some work
That sustain must be fearsome

From Top to bottom, R-L:

- Gretsch 9202 Honey Dipper Resonator

@SKT the classic one is my first serious instrument after years of playing some crappy, always-out-of-tune-in-some-position guitars.
But as the years gone by I went smaller and smaller in size and weight (with exception of Pat Metheny Ibanez) finally arriving at Strandberg. Nowadays almost every manufacturer has a headless guitar in their lineup but back then Ola Strandberg (out of Uppsala, not far north from Stockholm) was the only one that really did serious research about ergonomic guitar design in Europe.
https://strandbergguitars.com/eu/?aelia_cs_currency=SEKThere are so many things that Ola did differently, from the neck shape to different use of carbon in the tension management, his proprietary hardware…
But one of the most important for me was introduction of True Temperament frets and tuning system invented by late Swedish inventor and guitarist Anders Thidell to even out the intervals on the guitar and make the tuning more consistent across the entire neck. https://truetemperament.com/
I will get some pictures of it on Monday.For the record I should mention Steve Klein who was the OG of headless but I had no way to get my hands on his stuff - https://kleinsbench.com/
