I saw a pair of platform Crocs recently. They’re mutating like the virus.
-
Birkenstocks: "They don't make uglier footwear than me! Bonus: I stink too!"
Adidas shower sandals: "Wearing me in public guarantees you'll die alone."
Pajama pants: "What about me?"
Crocs: "All of you, hold my beer." -
Ahem, I will die clutching my Birk Bostons. And they don't smell that bad…
Also, I hear that Crocs are super comfortable but tbh I have never tried them on, due to the fact that I am legitimately scared I will like them. Can't have that.

Hey, there are plenty of comfortable shoes, and not all of them are abominations. That said, Crocs of course are comfortable. Wouldn't they have to be? For professions like being a chef, as long as you stay in the kitchen where they are not visible to the patrons, or being a prisoner, where you might not have a choice, they are a fine option.
If you need that springy sole and people see your feet from time to time, I'd recommend Adidas Boost

Having an “I’m surrounded my complete fucking morons” moment for going on a couple of decades now. The latest is an order for a new dishwasher (the brand new LG that came with our new home is worthless) with paperwork and an email reminder saying it should’ve been delivered and installed by now. Checking the web site, it claims there that I have yet to schedule the delivery (delivery and installation was scheduled at purchase and confirmed last night for this morning). I tried to call the salesperson, and the number said that they were not accepting calls and didn't afford an option to enter his extension.
I bought a Logitech Harmony remote (dog having eaten the previous two of these things at a couple hundred a pop) and it didn't work, and there was no getting support for it really. They just don't give a shit about these remotes at all and I think are winding down that operation, which makes very little business sense to me. They had some of the best universal remotes out there if they just would've invested a little in the software.
Ticketmaster sent me an email asking that I make sure I have the correct address for a concert that was postponed due to COVID. I provided the correct (our new) address, and they confirmed the update. The tickets have not arrived, and when I asked about that, they said that they could not find the order.
Finally, Waste Management decided they didn’t feel like picking up our garbage last week, so we have an overloaded stinky bin and cannot throw anything away. They also wanted to charge $80 to carry away a few boxes over and above our bin. I’m currently taking a hard look at alternative garbage companies, since Waste Management seems to be a garbage company.

@mclaincausey I feel your pain…You need to have a nice Mezcal with some Sal de Gusano!

I cant quite make it out, Is that homeschooling from the Airstream I hear calling @Matt?
-
Damn right @Jett129 ; and the garbage garbage company did finally do their job yesterday!
-
@mclaincausey - sounds like you ordered a BOSCH?
-
HA! not sure how you figured that out @Appfaff , but at our last home our dishwasher went out and we replaced it with a Bosch 300. It was such an amazing machine that I insisted we get the exact model. Sure, we could have gone with one of their fancier ones or a Miele, but I know for sure this thing was rock solid and stuck with it.
Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.

@mclaincausey - your story was too specifically familiar for it to have been any other brand lol
