We know you love IH, but where do you think we can improve?
-
OK, so I go in May. I hear Gosport is even lovelier in the summer.
-
Where I live? No, not really. The transition from "winter" to summer is pretty quick. We're in late February and the highs are already pushing 80 (27C). Another couple of weeks and we'll be solidly into summer heat.
EDIT: Broark knows. Austin's no better than Houston…
-
Yeah, it's been a warm winter. I hope that doesn't mean we've got a hot summer ahead of us.

+1 on keeping the numbers - I love metrics and think I could Name 90% of the Shirts by number. Plus, it's nice to be able to tell the difference between a 72, 109 and 127 instead of saying it's a red buffalo check.
-
I know the logistics would be a nightmare, but a full on preorder option would be nice. The notification option is nice, but being able to put a deposit or pay in full once prices are set on a yet to be released item would be awesome.
But how do you cope with the sizing variations ? I am biased though, as I am to busy to bother with return postage in order get another size, I just make sure I am happy first time from the published sizing, once the item is live.
-
Even the in stock notification has notes and sizing request information that can be added. Most of us know what our ideal measurement is, so reconciliation of the two shouldn't be that difficult. Of course, I only brought this up because I'm waiting on 3 items to hit and have too little patience.

if the brand keeps growing I fear in a few years the number system might be a bit much. Iron Heart isn't currently as big as polo or lacoste but I see it getting to a point where they are going to just produce certain items all the time & ditch or modify the number system. In my humble opinion the number system is great but as the brand & product range continues to grow it might get a bit crazy to keep up with. For or against numbers is cool to know I guess, but let's look down the line & see if it's something that can or should be sustained . . . .but then again what the heck IHSH 666 or IHSH 187 sounds pretty cool to me.
at this point I'm just rambling like I do some early mornings, hahaahahaha
no preorders, to much of a pain in the a$$ with folks changing their minds or getting cold feet & all that stuff. back in the day we used to have a stack option, which was for all intents & purposes a preorder system. folks used to abuse the system & cause to much heart burn to the IHUK staff, I like to give a hard time to IHUK but within certain confines, hahahahaha
-
it aint a thing @jdl1279 I have more bad ideas than good, plus one of those really successful folks said something along the lines of all bad ideas are just practice runs at good ideas or something like that . . . I'm paraphrasing here, hahahahaha
-
Yes you still can.
BUT we used to put stuff aside for people (we called it stacking then too) who wanted something. We asked for no money up front, expecting that they would pay for it when they asked us to ship it with something else. We got let down so many times, we had to stop it…..
-
But what happens when we do get them and a) The sizing is not what we expected or b) you have changed shape or c) decide you don't want it after all? Yes all of those things happened too.
The only times we did preorders in any large way was with the last two sets of DWC jeans. We had to make double what was pre-ordered each time, so that we were certain that we would have enough to satisfy everyone when actual measurements were published.
That's why when we released the DWCxUHR we also released the IHxB01xUHR. Did we want to release a 100 pairs of IHxB01xUHR? No, but we had to make 200 pairs of the DWC cut to make sure that everyone who had pre-ordered the DWC, go what they eventually wanted….
