I would sell and get a 36 rather than putting that pair through the wash/dry
I don't know if anyone would want to buy them. I wrote the first wear date on the inner pocket, but they don't have a lot of wear, and they are the first edition so they are signed and come with the repair kit…
I am 6'4" and one problem I run into a lot is that when you get to a size 36 waist most of the designers don't wear that size and they just automatically bump up the leg opening size. But seriously who gets that much bigger at the ankle?.... The fit everywhere else is decent if not good though.
You make it sound like I am going to torture them, they are a pair of workwear jeans after all haha.
-
dually noted. How much shrinking do you think I could expect if I were to carry through with the "heat treatment"? I have a lot of jeans but I feel a weird sense of attachment to this pair.
-
i don't think enough to justify the
roughheat treatment & they will eventually get back to original size.to answer your question an inch or half an inch & that is if you are super lucky. the jeans are, "Sanforised, so little shrinkage, but like all denim, will stretch up to an inch in the waist with wear."
oh, that last bit is lifted from here:

Thanks everyone for the input.
I hear ya and know what you say. My thinking was just typically peoples jeans stretch if they size down or put on weight because the jeans get stressed/stretched. But if I am able to get them half to a full inch smaller they will by no means be tight so they shouldn't stretch out very quickly at any rate and it might make them look a little better. They are by no means horrible as is, I just prefer a closer fitting cut. Maybe I will let a coin decide. Or save them for when I am old and and gain weight haha.
-
I have a belt… thanks haha. well when it comes time to washing them I will just have no reservation about doing using really hot water.
-
imo washing and drying will make no difference. They may feel a bit snuggere when you initially put them on, buy they will stretch right back out again.
Yep - couple of hours, one day max… So ==>

here are some fit pics of my vanity.
first day of wear
Then these are 1 month in after fairly consistent wear with a double cuff.
They are fine, I think it is more an issue of me being more familiar with wearing slimmer cut jeans.
I really do appreciate everyone's input.
-
i think they look really good.
remind me what's wrong with them again???
-
haha thanks, I just should have originally gotten a 36w instead of a 38w. and they are a little looser than I normally wear jeans so I was thinking of trying to shrink them a little and then it kind of snowballed the thread. my apologies.

I think the fit is ok. The fit of the topblock on my DC´s look similar to yours.
I own a pair of 666s too and they don´t fit to my bodyshape.
The point is imho, that the backpockets on the other IH-cuts standing too much on the outside.
So I have a fat-ass-feeling, when I wear my 666. I think you will have the same problem with a 666. -
