Unpopular opinions

100% of guys that wear hats think they look cool in them. 99% of them do not.
-
Statistics sound a tad high…
I'm probably part of the problem.

I absolutely hate sales associates at clothing stores that shadow me around talking about every piece that I stop and look at, or constantly asking me if I want to try something on. It only takes about 30-60 seconds of that to completely run me out of a store, to never return.

There's a great shop near where I live but for ^ that reason I don't go in there anymore. Bloody annoying.

how is this an unpopular opinion, i would guess everyone hates this

I never came across another person who hates it too, lol. Here all this time, my friends, family, and girlfriends have made me feel like I'm some kind of mean old troll that's angry and bothered by someone who is simply "doing their job"
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkDoing their job whilst, at the same time, spoiling my experience !! I have come to expect this behaviour from some sales assistants and have learnt to say to them "Thanks but I'm just looking right now. Will come to you if I have any questions or need your assistance" If they then don't allow me my time and space then I'm gone

I don't think it's an unpopular opinion, it's like being in a Restaurant. The Service has to find the exact spot between being too present and not caring at all. What i really find annoying is when I find out after 2 sentences that the salemans knows less about a product than I do while still thinking he's the man. happened to me in bicycle & Whisky stores.

^ Agreed. There is a real middle ground. Can't stand being hounded at a store. I understand the fact that for a majority of dudes, if they are in a store, it's because they are there to get the thing they came for and get out. But some actually go in to browse. And just because you look at something or touch it doesn't mean you want to try it on/buy it.
On the other hand if I walk into a store, especially one that is not busy, and am not at least greeted soon after entering I usually turn around and walk out soon after. It's more of a common courtesy than anything. I don't expect or want any special treatment but I'd like to be acknowledged as someone who might want to give the store some money.
Adding to Max, knowing more than the sales associate about the products they're trying to sell can get real annoying. At some of the stores around here the best they can do is tell me the denim is selvedge.

Some of these unpopular opinions need moving to First World Problems thread, "ooh I hate being pressured by staff in the high end clothing store or whilst eating in a fancy restaurant"
-
I fucking hate the term "lol" too

Here's a real unpopular opinion for everyone. You're all, each and every one of you and me included, complete hypocrites.
We have all made a fuss about cheap labour, child labour, unsafe working conditions in some countries and exploitation etc….
Anyone here shop at IKEA? Anyone have ethically produced bedding, towels, cutlery, carpets, TV's, smart phones, games consoles, computers, home furnishings and decorations? All of it ethically produced?
Let's be honest here, we all pick and choose our ethics to our own interests, budgets and tastes don't we? None of us are Snow White on this because not many can be. The mass market has beat you down somewhere in your life and there's nothing you can do about it.
Now that's how you do an unpopular opinion.
