I really like the Chambray but I wish the Large sleeve length was 0.5"-1" longer
Edit: Oops, just realized that chambray was release a while ago

Yellow Rat Mini-Gingham & Chambray Shirts
Yellow Rat has just delivered two new shirts for the fall season, one made of a cotton mini-gingham fabric and the other made of chambray.
Both of these are long sleeve button-down shirts with gusseted side-seams, cut in a classic 40's silhouette. There is no fusing used in the collars so that they lay in a more natural casual style.
Both of these shirts are available now at all four Self Edge stores and in our online store.

Roy's New 11oz Denim "Big Bro" Jean
We've got a new jean from Roy Slaper coming and it's a doozy. This model has a newly developed lightweight fabric, clocking in at 11oz per square yard in its raw state. The fabric has a very vintage feel and shade to it, being very close to the Deeptone denim Cone offered in the early 40's.
The fit comes in somewhere between his last two releases (The Buck-Tite and the SF-01), with it being easy to size down a bit for a slimmer fit or go up a size and get a straight fit without making the jean look too baggy. Also, this new model has some details which are new to Roy's jeans such as tin-plated brass buttons, two-prong copper plated brass rivets, letterpressed leather patch, a mini steel buckle-back, and a few other details that you'll discover yourself.
**These jeans will go on sale at Noon (local time) at all four Self Edge stores on Saturday, October 19th and at 10am (PDT) in our online store on the same day.
Check the product page for full measurements, a full spec list, more info, and high-res photographs.**

They look fantastic, I am still in complete awe that Roy is pretty much a one-man operation :). One of these days I'll have to purchase something from the line…
-
$360 for his new jeans at 11oz?! Yikes… Glad I got the 04 series.
The fabric cost was about the same for this jean as any of his last 4 jeans but with this new release each jean takes 25% more time to produce due to the intricate cinch integration with the yoke and the way the fly/crotch area is taped.
-
Love the cinch back and yellow seashell stitching.
-
I like the rivets and the taped fly. Always such interesting details with Roy's products.

if you are near any Self Edge store please do your self a favor & stop in to inspect the goods. Incredible store, smart helpful staff.

I have had some life changing events take place inside of SESF. The guys there are not just staff. On one of my first trips in there I spent a few hours chatting to Gino about life, the universe, and everything else. Have never experienced anything but the utmost respect from everyone there.
-
Same goes with SENY for me. Only been there twice in 2 years and Tomas actually remembered who i was a year later after our first meeting! (and i live nowhere near NY lol) He was very helpful during both my visits and i look forward to visiting again one day

If you don't mind spending all your rent money. Haha. Self-restraint is so difficult there, but I love SELA and can't wait to visit the Portland store.
-
yeah i didn't want to gush on about the staff but i've never had a bad experience with the people who are a part of the self edge movement. from the owners to the dudes like tomas that literally grind all day slinging denim & premium goods to a customer base that may have internet knowledge of what they are looking at/for then when they see the goods their minds are blown & everything they thought they knew goes out the window. smart & helpful & just a pleasure to spend your money with.
they need to give workshops on the hiring process cause they have the best staff & i've never visited any other kind of shop where the folks on the floor have so much knowledge about the goods being pushed. . . .
random but i'm about to be on a dry bones oxford binge. . . .

Also- the Self Edge store in NYC smells like shit. Seriously. So disappointed by that. I mean, they have what I wanted and Aman (I think that's his name) was helpful, but it fucking STUNK TO HIGH HELL.
Only time I've been there the dork behind the counter was being a huge dick. Another dude that works there tried to get in a friend of mine's face because their price for jean repair was more expensive than what they had on their website so he changed his mind after the dude wrote up a quote (I guess he was mad he wrote it up for nothing?). Worst store.
I also had a bad experience at Self Edge in Portland. Came in prepared to drop a grip on jeans & chinos, was ignored by the staff, not cool enough for jeans dudes I guess.
From another forum… SE came up and well not everyone was too happy about it... :-\

has never been my experience. i come to find the internet is a weird place full of bizarro folks that may be the most timid in the real world & when they get on line they come alive & feel wronged and persecuted by everyone for everything. not saying that's the case with the above comments, but i've never had a experience where i thought some one did something out of line & then went home & typed really hard on my keyboard about it. not saying these folks didn't have valid experiences, just that i tend to look at the source of the information as much as the information
*this is not a paid message from selfedge but an honest endorsement from the mad one

For the record, all of New York City smells like Piss and shit
-
wrong, it smells like sh!t & piss, have to get the order correct.
-
I can't take anyone who says "prepared to drop a grip" seriously.
And I've never thought NYC especially smelled like shit, just urine and hot garbage. But maybe I haven't been to the good spots.
