IHW-06 - Quilt lined Melton CPO Jacket in Red/Black, Black or Green
-
My first thought was green but then once i saw another pic of the red i wanted it instead. My main issues are 1) i feel the green is a lil dressier and if i think of it like that, i wont wear it very often. 2) the red i feel i will wear alot more, but i live in northern ontario Canada and the "red/black buffalo check is fairly common. I know this is way nicer then the Dickies or Kodiak type shit that get worn around here but i feel like i may just look like one of the neighbouring hicks in a $30 work jacket. You know?
Pissin me off lol -
True lol. But no one here knows about IH except me and a few friends. I do my best to spread the word tho.. Dont get me wrong, i dont need people to know that im wearing a $600 jacket. I just dont want to look like a reg downtown bum IN a $600 jacket. Sooo anyone with pics of the green??

Went for the red/black today thanks to the Gf. Now hurry up Christmas!!

After much consideration, finally pulled the trigger on the CPO red/black jacket! It was a very tough choice between this and the Deck jacket. I should now be set for a cold winter (in style).
Can't wait to receive this. The feedback on IH jackets quality on the forum is phenomenal.
Many thanks to G., Friday and tigerpac for the very helpful input. I'll make sure to post my impressions and hopefully some fit pics once the jacket arrivesCheers and merry early Christmas!

Received the CPO today!!! The construction, feel and overall quality are truly superb and only really come across when the jacket in in your hands. But I can post a review later. Right now, I have a more pressing concern: the FIT (my absolute top priority for any garnement I buy).
G. was very helpful and suggested an L based on the feedback I gave him: I was concerned the arms might be too short as I compared the site measurements with those of the IH-2526J XL which fits me perfectly.
With the CPO L here, I found the arms long enough, too long actually. And the whole piece feels 1 size too large. Apparently I'm the same height as "Model" but with a slimmer frame and/or shorter arms. On me, the CPO looks visibly bulkier than the site pics and with a stacking effect in the biceps and forearms areas which I don't particularly like.
I'm attaching some fit pics for your helpful comments as always (apologies for the low quality):

The more I think about it, the more an M is making sense. I feel the arms will slimmer down and straighten up and there is room enough in the chest to spare an inch. What do you guys think?
I wanna make the most out of this awesome jacket and wouldnt mind waiting for a few more days to get the perfect fit! Your opinion is really appreciated!
Cheers

Giles has arms like a gorilla, just for your future sizing comparisons.:)
I agree with Seul- a smaller size would probably make you happier.

Thanks for the helpful feedback guys. Fully agree the L is clearly too 1 size too big.
Chris, G. did mention to me he has Gorilla arms but I guess the comapro with the IH-2526J mesaurements threw me off :-\
I'll PM him to see how I can exchange this for an M. I hope the process is not a hassle for neither him or me.
