Introduce Yourself Here
-
Hello!
I am new here and discovered the world of IH last year at DC4 in Berlin, where I live, looking for a flannel shirt. I had been looking for one in Tokyo on my last business trip (Harajuku, Shibuya but did not see the IH shop) but they all had arms that were too short for a tall guy (Studio d'artisan, Edwin and all small shops there whose names I had never heard of and forgot since). So back in Berlin I went to DC4 and looked at their flannels… got myself a IHSH23. Daniel as a good sales guy introduced me to their new IH DC4001. 2 weeks later I was back in the shop and got myself a pair, was getting too much on my mind even at the price.
Some months later, I got in touch with Giles and managed to buy a SH37 in blue when the restock came. And because I can not stay in my 21 oz. jeans when the temperature is above 25°C, cycling to work becomes a sweating experience... I am expecting a Triple Works.
I guess I will be more of a reader than a writer but will try to stay tuned.I like my jeans raw, I do not like them fading, which is why I got the permanent dye for the TW. And I wash them every month or so. So I guess I ought to change my text from Raw and unwashed to Really raw but washed.
Anyway glad to be here.

Hi Everyone,
I realized that I never posted in this thread after I joined (actually I've rarely posted at all, I've been lurking). I'm the guy who is helping Jimmy with some of the translations for the Boss Talk posts, I usually only do the posts that Mr. Haraki makes about clothing due to time restraints. If you guys have any questions or comments regarding the translations please let me know.
A bit about myself. I'm a Japanese guy originally from Japan but, have been living in the US for 22 years now. I'm into all kinds of Japanese and American clothing, but mainly military, outdoors and workwear. I don't have a very large Iron Heart collection (pair of jeans, couple of shirts, couple of jackets and a belt), but the pieces I do have I absolutely love and if my finances allow I'm looking forward to getting more pieces in the future.
