Eyeglasses / Sunglasses Discussion
-
when I was in Japan last weekend, I came across Kaneko Gankyo or Japan optical. I've recognise the brand but I'm not sure where or what is actual name is..
decided to get a spare pair of glasses rather than wait for my current one break as I usually do.. (although they're JMMs and I'm not sure how rough I've gotta be to break them)
Absolutely love the roll sleeve pouch they gave( I could choose and I picked it over conventional cases)

That are some cool glasses @Giles

Anyone have district vision sunglasses? Considering them for running and cycling
-
@Nik No but looking at District Vision I came across SunGod Velans for running in this summer! Not a need but very much a want
You can do custom colours on a lot of them too

Nice those look good. I have some DV running clothing and it is well designed. I like the look of the Nagata and the Junya, thinking of the pink lens for improved visibility while running and biking.

This seems like an appropriate place to ask. It's clear that folks have a few pairs of eye/sun glasses. I'd like to see how your store your collection. For years I had them somewhat stuffed into a drawer (embarrassing, I know - but at one point it was up to 20 pairs but I downsized and donated the ones I seldom wore to respectacle.org).
Anyway, I recently upped my game, picked up this MCM vanity that was taken out of an old home here in Portland, OR and rehabbed it (got to suck down looots of lead paint fumes). It's a step in the right direction, but it's far from perfect. I would like to store my glasses upright simply for aesthetics. Also I'm obsessed with AHLEM frames at the moment. (these photos also expose that I hold onto crap for years too, like that jalapeno magnet a friend picked up in Tijuana ~20 yrs ago, judge away!)

@Inorganic love that medicine cabinet.

@sabergirl good points raised. I didn't seal the inside, but its a good idea. I cleaned the hell out of it with some home solutions that are good 'chelating agents' for lead (basically they capture lead atoms in a chemical cage). but your post is prompting me to test it today & explore sealing methods should it still test positive....

@Matt right on - i enjoy looking at it (and that it is 'tidy')

Am I the only one who appreciates smaller (facefitting) frames? I had Moscots and similar swedish manufactured ones (name escapes from me atm) and Polo's... even RayBan Clubmans with smaller lens feel too big... then I found these... They are perfect and they are actually almost exact KD copies. So should be fine for riding.

@Nik - End Clothing has a few (~10) District Vision frames at 40% discount currently.

Thanks @Nocturama looks like I missed the Nagata but might try the Junya
