Pinion denim
-
Having delved back into Facebook over the past year or so and back into denim a bit than the past 10 years or so Pinion popped up on the indigo invitational and my news feed so I was intrigued as with a few Thai companies what they had to offer ( have had Nama denim before)
They had a 17oz slub denim called the red cardinal for sale, it was December 2022 when I saw this I might add and thought for the Aussie summer they wouldn’t be too bad. They only have a Thai website but are on Facebook so didn’t think it would be a hassle to order
What a wrong thought that was after a message in December we had a back and forth on measurements I even got a customer of mine who is Thai to help out with translation over the Christmas break into January to no avail getting any measurements from themCut forward 7 months I get a message out of the blue with measurements and pictures
Gobsmacked I decided to pull the trigger on a pair. Value wise they were in terms of Japanese denim very reasonable in cost including shipping they cost $157 AUDQuality seems good embroidery not 100% sure on as with the tag sewn at the bottom of the back pocket but they do have some nice details
Shipped to Adelaide with UPS took just over a week
Only tried them on to see if they needed sending back or keeping,
Fit seems ok but will have to try on for longer
This post was just a random thought keeping diary possibly to see how I get on with them
More to follow if that’s possible with the super long post already my apologies

@T4920 have shoved them on this evening for a quick wear
Quick observations
Top block seems tight but I think that’s my choice of waist size even though they fit fine, my salmon pink tee has indigo transfer already
Not likely to put them through the madness that the Thai people do for a competition entry but will wear them in a rotation fashion -
Rudi has a jacket and jeans on his IG from this brand but in 27oz I believe.

Hey! Reviving an old thread in case someone international is thinking about ordering from Pinion and is looking for info!
Long story short I would avoid them.
I did two orders from them and everything is fine until it is not. One pair they sent was clearly wrong and it was very hard to make them admit that. They agreed to take it back, do a refund and pay for return shipping.
Once they got the pair - they refused to pay the refund and the return shipping.
Eventually got the money back via PayPal, but it was not a pleasant experience.
They also later blatantly lied to me saying that something is out of stock while continuing to market it in their IG posts.
Super sketchy, would definitely avoid.
Such a shame though, because the product itself is fantastic, especially for the price.
I'm extremely happy with the two pairs that I wear. -
Did you have to deal with returns and refunds as well?
Like I said - everything was fine until it was not for me. First order went very well, but as soon as some issues arose - they showed their true face.
