IHM-37-ODG - Oiled Whipcord N1 Deck Jacket - Olive Drab Green
-
will definitely jump on it

Silly question but how are these measurements taken on these quilted jackets? Given that the the quilted jacket has "loft". Are the measurements taken on the outside of the puffy jacket or are they a theoretical inside measurement?
Im a perfect fit in a XXXL type 3, XXXL western, XXL Work shirt.
Would I be a XXL or an XXXL in the N1? looking for a snug zip up over a UHF

@AdamJ AJ I figured for sure you’d be a small now I’m thrown off on sizing. I usually wear same size you do, you doing some heavy layering with the medium?
-
Can’t wait!
-
@LeDuc_RW The medium is the better of the two in this jacket. Ultimately the reason I don't own a deck jacket is because my body shape does not agree with the pattern
Size Small:
Correct in the sleeve and body length
Too small in the shoulder
Too tight in the chest to allow wearing a UHFSize Medium:
Correct in the shoulder and chest
Too long in the sleeve and body lengthIf I 'had' to get one I'd go Medium, as it's the 'better' overall fit of the two.

@AdamJ I’m in the same boat, but man this coat seems so good I’m gonna shoot my shot. I’ll go the medium like you said and request the shortest sleeve. Thanks for the input!!

Damn… that looks good. Geez, I don’t need another jacket, but this is something else!
-
Is the olive whipcord fabric used on this version the same color as the IHM-35-ODG? Then the oil finish is applied to the fabric (I am assuming) before the jacket is assembled? Would this finish need to be maintained and re-applied periodically like a waxed canvas finish?

I wear size small for UHF western, does that mean My size for this jacket is XS? Thank you very much
-
Not necessarily. It all depends on how much you want/need to layer the jacket, and how broad your shoulders are. Many people size down in an N1, but I have one that’s tts so I can put a uhf or hoody underneath without sacrificing range of motion.

I will most likely try and grab a Large in this release to account for layering. I just purchased the Nylon coaches jacket as well so these two jackets will have to take turns in the daily wardrobe.

That’s very helpful, thank you very much

You going the same size as your UHF or going to size down?

I gonna get XS because I like it slim and the jacket itself is warm enough for a subtropical country where I live, so i dont really need layering. I gonna wear it with 11ounce long sleeve Ts , thermal Henley or IH-1700 My M65 is XS, it fits me perfectly
