Nice. Jealous of the cold, jealous of the snow. It is unseasonably warm here and it feels all wrong.

@Giles So you're saying topwater won't work…

@neph93 Our temperatures are like a rollercoaster right now.  One day is +2/3 Celsius and then it drops to -20 the next.  It's very hard to acclimatize.

We should be steady by now (~-5 to -10 Celsius) which makes it a lot easier on the body.  We used to have 1-2 weeks of -30/-40 in February.  Haven't seen that in a decade and really don't miss it.

It's not going to matter a lot whether you use a sinking or a floating bait.  Takes one level of complication out of lure selection….

Improvising. Raining hard.  Moved the grill just outside the garage. Doing the best we can at my parents on Christmas Eve. Shucking and grilling oysters. 801s thanks to @Appfaff .

Do you do anything to them during or after grilling? My wife puts a drop of champagne,some prosciutto and some parmigiana cheese. Out of this world.

@Jett129 that sounds fantastic. I’ll give it a try next time. This is what I did today. Always trying new things. These were my favorite so far.
