Ship John

The Ship John pocket T is a great shirt for summer days at the park. They fit me great and are a soft, breathable cotton.
-
The sashiko hats are so good!
I snagged a shirt too. -
@Brock Looks good! Have you washed yours?
-
Haha! Thanks.
-
I’ve done a couple hot soaks and washed by hand once
-
Its definitely settled down a bit after hitting water..
-
@Brock Yea it looks really good! I think I shrank the patch on mine a bit by soaking it too hot. Yours looks good as new still.
-
@Danimal506
Yea I kinda like the way Graeme is rocking his without the patch… I almost ripped mine off today but I’m too lazy -
@Mizmazzle I always vote sashiko

I gave my hat a second hot soak today. This time in hot tap water with a tiny bit of detergent. I agitated it every 10 mins or so for a 30 minute soak. Left the patch and bill out of the water, but they got wet inevitably. I left it out in the 95 degree Texas sun for an hour.
It shrunk down again and this time I think the fit might be perfect. It used to hurt my ears after a while when I wore it because of the high crown. So far so good on the first wear!
No significant fades yet. I don’t know how you guys got them so quick!
-
@Danimal506 oh man. This is great news. I’ve been going back and forth on my broken twill version. The fit just isn’t working quite right. I’ve got the Sashiko stashed away. But if I can’t get the denim one to work…
-
@Mizmazzle I’m doing the opposite! Wearing the sashiko and stashing the denim for future reference.
-
@Danimal506 same

16oz Sashiko Ori Indigo, but as you know this feels heavier that IH 21oz, and just more my style. I wish it was CPO style and had the lined placket + cuffs, but without a doubt one of my favorite pieces.
