@Jett129 Leica Q fixed lens 28mm. There were a couple that I really liked and the others that I thought were decent. The one of the guitarist was one where I couldn't get a clear shot as it was a busy walkway. Tried going down the steps and take a picture from the other direction and he looked directly at the camera...
Worked hard for that one and it could have turned out really well if I could have got the timing right.
The fixed lens made me work for a lot of the shots and I definitely need to work more with it. It's such an easy camera to use that I need to use my eye more and work on my timing better.
@weftyarn and I discussed pictures and the only people who look great in pictures when they know they are being photographed are models...the rest of us look better when we are caught off guard

@Tago-Mago I wish they did...new world vs. old world doesn't have a lot of similarities. Not saying that there isn't something beautiful in both, but I love the look of Lisbon and the colours used everywhere.

@Jett129 It was We stayed in an area called the Barrio Alto (historic area) and absolutely loved it there with lots to see and do. I also photo dumped from my iPhone in the Lisbon thread. It rained 4 days while we were there and I only took the Leica out the one day.
Should have taken it out more as even in the rain (sometimes pouring) the city was beautiful.

@goosehd What's interesting to me is the guitar player sitting there and the people walking down the stairs.I don't think the castle in the background etc. adds to it. Maybe you can try some alternate cropping when you get home. I'm a real big fan of less is more, but I'm guessing the background is a function of the 28mm lens.

@Jett129 Just got home yesterday and will try cropping some of them. The pictures posted are all unedited at this point. I have over 400 from the Leica and an easy thousand from the iPhone between the party and parts of Lisbon to work through.
Not knowing if we are going to make it back to Lisbon, I wanted to take a few to remember it...

@goosehd the pop of color in the first frame is great!

@goosehd I just love the B&W. I test just about every image I edit, even some of the surfing pictures. It gives the image an entirely different vibe. I think European street photography lends itself to B&W. But the truth of the matter is you really, just, wanted to see if he was wearing Iron Hearts!

First stop of the Japan trip was to this spot I’ve been dying to shoot. Shot with multiple cameras, just to make sure. Analog shot with Leica M5 and Cinestill 800t will have to wait until I process and scan, so here’s the one from my X100s.
