The elements (summer heat and damp/rain) were friends to all my Y2s; really helped them shape and fit faster. Goodluck !

@popvulture was lucky to make it to the y2 shop this year. I’m a hard 23” in the chest, 19ish shoulders and around 6’1”. I bought two pieces there and everything that fit me well was a 44 for me with some space. Based on what your saying and the way y2 is fitting (I know I know first the measurements) 44 prolly good for you. I was swimming in a 46.

@T4920 Osaka. Pretty close to the IH shop. Appointment only. Prices are def cheaper and the experience of being immersed in the whole collection is awesome. He overnighted my jackets back to Kyoto so I didn’t have to carry them the whole day. Was a great 2 hours of my trip and came home with a variation of a jacket he never ”mass” produced.
** wife also enjoyed it for bonus points

@jfk1117 that’s super helpful, man — thank you! We’re pretty close dimensions wise, so 44 sounds spot on.

Hey Guys, sorry if this is a dumb question, but it's one that has kept me from from taking that first swing with The Shop Vancouver. For context, I LOVE LOVE LOVE TJ and his production style. Seems like a super great dude and they carry amazing stuff. I'd love to support them. But my question is this for those buying from the U.S.,... Can anyone speak to what their customs experience was like when buying say a $2000 jacket from The Shop? I've read everything on Google. For example, you might not have to pay any fees, you might have to pay before delivery, and you might have to pay when they send you a bill after delivery. Are any of these accurate? Thanks for any insights anyone in the U.S and preferably TX can share in case the state makes a difference. Thank you!!

Only had it for about a month but it too is getting the office jockey treatment because it's 110 degrees outside...

I have only ordered once (so far, Ive been hovering over the black roughout chore for a week now...) but shipping to NJ I believe it was just about a $100 give or take

@hgering27
Right, what was the process to receive the notice, make the payment and receive your item? -
@Rooney-04 i believe this was back when he was using DHL, i think he uses UPS now. I had to pay prior to delivery, but it was seamless, they just request payment, you pay and it authorizes them to be able to deliver. I have ordered internationally elsewhere with UPS and I thought I made it through without fees, but then a month later I got a letter in the mail about paying.
however since my last message, I pulled the trigger on another chore, so within a few days I can let you know what the process is like now

@Rooney-04 i size up on this one:) looks really good on you man

@hgering27
Ok. Fair enough. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience!! -
@thooy05
Thanks brov! Yeah i sized up in the western too. -
@Rooney-04 I live in California and have had to pay duties every time I have purchased from TJ. With DHL or UPS it is the same experience. Before taking receipt from the shipper you will be noticed with an invoice to pay directly to the shipper. Fairly easy process. The duties have never been much more that $100ish for items that were in the $1k to $1.4k price range.
