Y’2 Leathers….
-
@thooy05 it looks perfect! Not sure you could do better even with made to measure leather
-
@thooy05 Adding to what the others have stated, the fit looks ace. The older style type I & II jackets run a bit shorter in the torso which can take some getting used to, at least it did for me. The sleeves and shoulders look spot on and sizing up would throw those off.
-
That jacket is perfect on you dude
-
not much wear yet because of the warm weather .But at least 30 minutes every morning on my way to work .
gorgeous shore shacket , very beautiful horse hide
-
@Daniel-San amazing jacket! That's how I get to wear my jackets atm, early morning on the way to work... No way for me wearing them all day with the heat...
-
hate summer

@Kjunx nicely done! I love the looks of it, color me jealous
Not much of a photo poster but here’s the y2 scar chore after unboxing. Fit is a bit stiffer/tighter than the suede (to be expected) but will likely break in with wear. need to get a picture of it next to my weathered KB140 while it’s still in its pink era.

@Kjunx
awesome jacket!!
thought about it too, but went with the black 1mm tea core -
How have you all been sizing these chore jackets compared to IH? @Daniel-San looks like you went with a tag 46 but iirc we both ended up with 38 in the recent lefty run?
-
@pechelman I followed TJ's recommendations and went with the 44. I wear XL in IH shirts.
-
I went with 42 and usually take a tagged large in IH.
-
I took a long route on sizing for the Y2 Chore as I'm in between an IT48 (Belstaff), US38/Small or US40/Med (Schott), Small (Allsaints), and typically 40 (Y2 and DoubleHelix). I burned shipping $ and ordered both a 40 and 42 in the suede versions with the idea of returning the size that didn't work. I tried them on w/ single layers, light sweater, and a flannels). I will say, this particular cut that TJ designed is forgiving (i.e. you can go up or down a bit w/ reasonable margin of error).
Ultimately I stuck with the size 40 for the chore (across the board for my Y2s) based on this trial/error along with some big forum help here from @Anesthetist and others on comparable fit to other styles (it looked a bit more fit/polished on my frame IMHO). I have plenty of room to move, and a bit of room to layer, but 9 / 10 if I'm wearing this I'm not layering too heavy or I'm wearing an heavier coat on top. For reference I'm a IH Large in shirt sizes.
Hope this helps.

Top to bottom (KB-140-T, Chore Jacket Tan Suede, KS-11)

@pechelman
that’s correct. I went for a 46 because of the shoulders and to be able to wear a hoodie or thicker pullover in the winter. TJ measured it for me and we both decided the 46 is best option.
Have a Type 1 from Y2 too, and it’s a 44. There I can only wear a tshirt or thin longsleeve. -
@Kjunx beautiful!
-
I want one of these leather chore shirts pretty bad now lol, i've been fantasizing about a leather IH work jacket for a while now and these Shop Vancouver ones look damn good. Been wearing yours at all @Daniel-San ? Care to share any notes on it? Curious about the weight, sheen, lining etc. and does it have the interior pocket mentioned on their details page?
-
@WhiskeySandwich
it’s absolutely awesome, and If you like the style you can’t go wrong with it. The leather is much more substantial than I thought 1mm would be. In the beginning very cardboard like and stiff , have you seen my fit pic ? but it’s getting better pretty fast , unfortunately it’s to hot at the moment to really wear it . the leather has this typical horse hide sheen, not too much but I would definitely prefer less sheen though . Will wear it in the rain to get it as wet as possible, this will reduce the sheen as I red somewhere and will help moulding . it has an internal pocket yes, but only this one with the lining.
hope this helps? -
@Daniel-San Good stuff, thank you! We'll see if its on the menu.....
-
@goosehd These are really cool pants and I am contemplating for a while now to get them. I am just not sure where/when I would wear them and am also worried about getting the right fit as returning things to Canada is a pain.
I would love to see updates on your experiences with it. -
@BorisB I wear mine on the bike, but have no issues wearing them out in town as a jeans substitute. As to fit, watch all of the videos and follow TJ’s advice. He know’s how to size them very well and will also entertain you on all of your questions that you can come up with. Just contact him via email or phone him. Great resource and great individual in the denim/leather community.
