IH-666S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

@guiltyparty thanks for the reply. I really appreciate it.

the measurements I posted are a pair of jeans that are about a year old and have been soaked once and washed a couple times. Hang dried. ... If that helps.

Keep an eye on the thigh measurement. While the waist can stretch an inch easily when put under tension, the thighs really won't give up more than .25" or so unless you are super brutal to them with a floor jack or something.

Admittedly I’m only 2 years into Iron Heart denim, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
I always buy true to size and never size down with stretching out the waist in mind. I know many / most here see an inch or more of stretch in a lot of their jeans but honestly I have not.
I guess if you buy them to fit true to size right out of the gate, why would they stretch at all (if they’d not under a lot of tension).
Anyway I’m 7 pairs in (666 and 634 cuts - 21oz, 14 oz, 16oz slub and left hand twill). I don’t see any significant stretch in any of them but again YMMV.

Thanks for the insight guys

The problem with going tts or sizing up and trying to shrink is the dreaded diaper butt look with excess material everywhere. TTS works if the fit is a match for your shape, but if it doesn’t looks imo horrible. Sizing up and trying to shrink the hell out of it never looks as good as if you just got the right pair of jeans the first time.
It’s the main reason that I recommend the IH crew (shop@ironheart.co.uk) every time to avoid costly mistakes.

…and to further complicate the equation. Sizing is dependent on so many variables with one of them being the material used for the pant. Some easily stretch (slubs) whilst some have none (whipcord) and quite a few in between. All of this needs to be considered when buying a new pant and to go TTS or sizing down slightly.
Trust the guys at IHUK to guide you in the right direction.

@goosehd This is a very good point about diaper butt. I have also discovered finding the right cut is important to avoiding the diaper butt look.

I am currently waiting for the crew to get back to me. Thanks everyone. lots of food for thought.
