How does the sizing compare to the 777S in 21 oz. Would you go with the same size or size down? I am a 36 in the 777 and the pants are perfectly comfortable. Neither too wide to too tight.

Got a pair from @Iron-Heart-Germany
“Busy” April…but happy with the stuff I got. -
@sabergirl Yes, that's what I figured - measured a bunch of other pants and the 777 and they are all in the 37 ballpark - they def. should not be below 36 (the chart indicates 34 and 35 to be the same waist, both below 36) - so should be good with tag 36 here. thx!

@Alexander I agree with @sabergirl about not sizing down. 21oz vs XHS is a world of difference, plus the cuts are going to be pretty different as well. The rise on the 634 is iirc about an inch higher, but it’s a plus that it’s not significantly higher like 888, so rise-wise you’re still somewhat in the ballpark of the 777. There will be more room in the top block overall.
My rec: I’d measure your comfortable jeans at their stretched size, then buy that in XHS. In my experience they’ll shrink a bit after the hot soak, then will stretch back out to that chart size but not much more, if any. If you buy too small they’ll be brutal after the shrink. I recently bought a pair that was a bit too small, and ended up returning em because they’d have been unwearable after a soak.

@popvulture Perfect! That's what I did - ordered a 36. I can't wait for a higher rise. I am a bit annoyed with the low rise of the 777

@Alexander XHS is fun, man! Enjoy!

Once you go 25oz… is there any going back??
One way ticket? -

One way ticket?It's really hard to go back, but 21 oz is very forgiving in the slimmer cuts.

@long_john86 sidesteps... UHR, for example.
-
@long_john86 it’s definitely hard to!

I wish everything was 21oz or heavier!
