Watches - another OCD problem

@Molle I remember following you on Instagram a few years back, I have long since got rid of all my social media but seem to recall you having one of the most insane Seiko/GS collections, tonnes of divers! Lots of important vintage pieces too? I owned around 30 watches back in those days and am now down to 1 and 2 cheap beaters.. think I finally found what I was happy to wear every day (after owning 3 different versions of the same watch previously)
Anyway, welcome to the forum! How long have you been into Iron Heart?
Thanks for the welcome . IH is a very new “interest” which I am sure will develop to an obsession… . Got the M65 in November last year and a couple shirts, a jacket and a pair of 777 since then. No store in Stockholm unfortunately.
On the watch front it is still Seiko and GS to 95% in my collection. Slowed down the buying of new ones quite a lot. Sold very few so most of the stuff is still there. Primarily the interest is in divers and vintage these days.

@Molle Sounds like it’s well on the way to an IH obsession then some great choices there too, my m65 is one of my favourite pieces. Glad to hear you held onto your watch collection too!

No store in Stockholm unfortunately.
There used to be (Sivletto and Second Sunrise), but neither of them could make Iron Heart work for them......
-
@Giles It’s sad indeed. Maybe I should give it a try and start a new career

You would not be the first customer to become a retailer......

I know I’ve already posted it and maybe even twice…but I can’t get over how lovely is
-
@Anesthetist I love the face on that watch omegas make some fantastic watches.
-
@gazza61 agree. This is a rare event when the actual watch looks 1000x better than the press release.
-
@Anesthetist I own two speedmasters, im now thinking I need seamaster.
-
@gazza61 I have an X33 and HAD a Speedy. I shouldnt have sold it
-
@jeffrx - I love MOP dials. Note that your Sinn also exist in Tahiti black MOP, which can be quite dramatic and maybe would work better on your skin.
I was at the Rolex AD downtown, and they have a lovely model with a MOP dial and diamond markers. A bit feminine, but not too much. They also had the black dial Tudor Pelagos FXD, which contrary to the limited blue dialed one has a unidirectional bezel. Might well be one of the best available dive watch.
-
No doubt about it. I have the blue and it is a FANTASTIC watch for the money.
-
It is lovely.
I dig this one that just popped up in my feed though I’d prefer not to have the He escape valve.
-
I get that but the He valve is a Seamaster signature!
-
@JDelage after wearing this one for a few days, it’s kind of growing on me. I’m just not used to white dials I guess and my brain needed time to adjust. It’s different that’s for sure. I’d love to try on a Rolex Explorer II with the white dial at some point to see how that looks and feels. Even that Rolex model, which was never considered one of their more highly sought after models, is hard to get these days.

Seikos first divers watch was introduced in 1965. My example of the 6217-8001 (aka 62MAS) is from 1967.
