Gravel Bikes
-
I have a Moots Baxter which is more drop bar mountain bike as it can take 2.3 tyres. I am running mine with crossmax mountain bike wheels. Using a hybrid Di2 system with Grx levers paired with an XT mtb rear mech. Works nicely and can be configured via the Shimano software, I am running mine with upshifts on both left hand levers and downshifts on the right hand levers.

Beautiful bike, @ddtrash made in Steamboat Springs, CO!

Man, seeing pictures like that make me want to move cities sooo bad.

More pics from some adventures of last summer. Looking forward to getting back out there…

I did my first ever gravel ride yesterday. Resolved about 5 miles in that I needed a real gravel bike! Thinking about doing a custom build on a Crust Evasion. Anyway, some shots:

I've got a Crust Evasion in the works from a semi-local shop. Meanwhile I'm already accessorizing with a new bag from Ronnie Romance:

Ronnie makes the best bags!
Nice -
@Brock This rig is dialed! Ronnie Romance would approve. How do you find the Fabio's Chest? Bounce factor negligible with that front rack? I have always had my eye on one.
-
The weather is shifting to board sports, but still jonesing for two wheels.
-
@dsco thank you. It’s even more dialed now days I think…
The Fabio’s chest is definitely the IH of the bike bag world. And with a rack for support is solid. However when fully loaded and riding on the rough stuff I do worry about my carbon fork!
Here’s a couple recent pics of my smeltzer

Some really nice bikes! Here’s my Richard Sachs cross bike used as my gravel grinder.
-
@Brock those purple accents . You weren't kidding, that is dialed. Looks like some beauty landscape to explore as well!
-
@dsco thanks man! I’m pretty happy with it lately. One of my favorite things about bikes is how they can be ever evolving…
How are you liking those supper yummys? I love everything that Simworks does.
The cavas that I’m running currently are great on pavement and gravel but a little squirrely on hard packed dirt and loamy surfaces

@Denimhead-0
Very cool frame! And I dig the Paul Cantilevers!
I’ve been eying those for my wife’s Bridgestone -
I’ve got Purple Pauls on my Rivendell

@Brock oh man, the tinkering never ends, which is part of the fun too! The super yummy's have been fantastic all around. So much so that I will getting a set for my more single track focused rig when the stock recons run their life cycle. And as you said, I just love what sim works does. Fun to support outfits like that!

That Riv is so badass! I love it -
New bike day has finally come!
