@T4920 they will relax over time! It will take a little longer then a XHS. The washing process is for settling the stitching/threads as well! I have the 555 UHR as well and i washed them on low temperature without the spin cycle and they didn’t shrink that much.. also over time the waist will stretch back to pre wash. I lost more in length then in the waist for example

@T4920 Fit is so subjective so generally speaking there's no right or wrong but in my opinion it looks like the 555 cut just isn't the cut for you. That or you might have sized wrong and may need to size down as long as the measurements still work for you if course.
I think you need a decent amount of junk in the trunk to make the 555 cut work. I never rocked the 555 cut over the years but recently I put on some weight with a significant amount being in my glutes and thighs and now the 555 cut is my preferred cut as long as the thigh measurement is on the larger side of its respective tag size.
Just my two cents for what its worth.

@manufc10 appreciate your honest response! I put them through the wash yesterday as per the advice here yesterday evening and after drying all night they feel MUCH better this morning. 666 is my perfect cut, and if I was buying direct that'd always be my choice, but as these were bought from the marketplace I thought I'd roll the dice! Confident I can make them work now they've shrunk to fit

@T4920 looks good man

@T4920 they look much better now. Glad you got them to shrink up. I dont think I realized you hadn't washed/soaked them yet. That's what I get for not reading the thread thoroughly.

that cuff looks familiar @T4920

@T4920 toky cuff is always a winner

hey guys, sorry for the noob question and feel free to tell me to FOAD, but doing the intital soak/agitation wont affect the fade potential of these suckers, will it? thanks!
-
@darbycrash No it does not and is a necessary step. Edit (Here is the reasoning): The recommended method with UHR is to soak first, then wash. This because it is loomstate. The soak activates the cotton fibres and embeds the stitching, the wash gets the shrinkage out.

@goosehd cool thanks man just wanted to be sure

or they could just word the care instructions more specifically in regards to these (the care pamphlet i received only explicitly states this is necessary for the 25oz). i like having the ability to initially soak and wash them myself.
thats cute you think im a "dummy" for asking a question, isnt that a big reason the forum is here in the first place? this was a big investment for me and i plan to wear them for years, so i didnt want to make a jack move.
