IH-555-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo/Black

Woooah dudes, check out this post that @ironheart_staff posted on Instagram…I'm blown away how both XHS and XHSib look nearly identical. The Japanese translation from the caption doesn't make a ton of sense, but it seems to me that after years of wear, they will evo super similar. What do y'all see of this? What say you?

@Oaktavia hey I’ve been staring at that post from iron heart staff and I swear those are the exact same pair of denim.. look closely at all the fade patterns and you will see they are literally identical.. down to the smallest fade lines on the fly.. I’m not sold that these are two different pairs.. for example, look at the 2 pairs @Kasi posted. You can clearly see the difference in fade profiles between the 2 pairs. So even if the same person wears 2 different pairs of similar denim there should be differences in the fade patterns even if only slight.. makes me scratch my head as to why they would’ve posted something like that.. mistake?? I don’t know..??

Yeah they look the same pair. But mine are two different can tell by colour and fades.

Yeah when I was looking at it in the early morning hours, I was surprised how similar (identical?) they were. Now that I am more awake, I totally see what you are suggesting. Maybe they did post the same pair by accident. I guess what made me think they were different was the fact that the photos themselves are ever-so-slightly dissimilar.
After my comment on the Instagram post that the two pairs looked very similar, whoever runs that account said it was because they wore both pair. But I meant that the actual jeans looks awfully the same.
Does anyone know who runs that account? I would think they would be active on this forum also…

@Oaktavia that’s another good point. The cuts look the same as well. I think both pics are of the 555xhsib.. and not that any of this matters I just noticed they were literally identical..

Guys , I own XHS ID/BK , double indigo and regular indigo. I can tell my IDBK wear is almost identical to double indigo. Eventually IDBK will look very similar to double indigo. I agreed double indigo can almost look identical to regular indigo with some wear tear. I don’t know the photo is real or fake but at the end they will look all very similar

@Mustafa911 hey, did you look closely at the photo I posted circling the identical wear patterns? I’m certain it’s same pair of jeans.. again it’s not any big deal and I’m not trying to cause a fuss I just noticed the wear patterns were the same..

Right and the original question of the matter was would XHSib eventually look very similar to XHS. Which is super neat to me…I did not expect that.
It's cool and makes me want to wear mine as much as possible before the hot weather hits Maryland. I wore my N&F 32oz every day last summer, but they were a looser fit than the 555. I remember having a hard time getting around in the heat and humidity last year and didn't wear mine from June to August (when I went back to work teaching in air conditioning 7.5 hours a day).

Also, do you think the pair that they have been posting frequently on their Instagram has been washed regularly? Or just worn 200-250 + times? @alexswords

The Japanese crew wash their jeans, and wear them a lot too.

Bet.
I'm of the mind now where I'm thinking of washing a hell of a lot more.

The account is run by people working for Iron Heart Japan on the retail side. The mothership in other words. They are not on this forum, none of the .jp crew are. They are not in the business of bullshitting about this kind of thing either.

I just noticed they were literally identical..
They are not «literally» identical, they are similar. The similarities you hightlight can be counterbalanced bybthe differences. The tears at the crotch for example. Also all my top blocks have essentially the same wear patterns, regardless of cut.

That's the thing about denim fades. They are personal to the wearer. A few years ago, I posted anonymously somewhere the fading of a pair of my Flatheads. I was outed because people could tell they were my jeans because of the stark similarities between the fades on the Flatheads and the fades on my known Iron Hearts. @swiss-jeansfreak has examples in his museum of multiple pairs of jeans worn by the same person with almost identical fade/wear patterns….
